ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re hiring an Ad Ops Developer to architect, build, and maintain the foundation of our marketing data and ad operations infrastructure. This role is highly technical and central to how TaxRise measures, optimizes, and scales paid media performance.
You’ll be responsible for developing a unified tracking and attribution system—integrating data across ad platforms, analytics tools, and lifecycle systems. This is an opportunity to build the ad ops infrastructure from the ground up: designing event schemas, establishing automation pipelines, and ensuring every campaign and conversion is tracked with precision.
If you thrive in building systems that power marketing intelligence—balancing development, data engineering, and ad tech—this is the role for you.
HOW YOU’LL BE REWARDED
At TaxRise, we value innovation, precision, and scalability. You’ll have the opportunity to build core infrastructure that drives company growth, with a strong compensation package and career growth opportunities.
- Base salary: $100,000 – $110,000 annually

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Ad Ops Architecture & Development
- Build and maintain the end-to-end marketing data infrastructure from the ground up.
 - Design event schemas and tracking logic to ensure accurate, consistent data capture across platforms.
 - Develop and manage data pipelines connecting Segment, GA4, and paid media APIs (Google, Meta, TikTok, etc.).
 - Implement automation for campaign tagging, pixel deployment, and conversion management at scale.

Tracking & Attribution Engineering
- Configure GTM and Segment to collect and distribute event data to downstream systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, BI tools).
 - Establish and validate cross-domain tracking, attribution models, and first-party data integrations.
 - Build frameworks for multi-touch attribution and unified campaign reporting.

QA & Data Reliability
- Develop QA scripts and monitoring systems to proactively detect data breaks or event misfires.
 - Troubleshoot complex tracking issues using DevTools, API debugging, and log analysis.
 - Maintain version control and documentation of all tracking, schemas, and configurations.

Collaboration & Enablement
- Partner with marketing, lifecycle, and analytics teams to define data requirements and deliver reliable pipelines.
 - Document architecture and implementation processes to ensure system scalability and repeatability.
 - Train internal teams on best practices for campaign tagging, event tracking, and data interpretation.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in ad operations, marketing technology, or data engineering.
 - Deep understanding of web tracking, event data modeling, and marketing attribution.
 - Advanced proficiency with Google Tag Manager, Segment, GA4, and ad platform APIs (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, etc.).
 - Experience building or maintaining marketing data pipelines (e.g., via APIs, ETL tools, or cloud functions).
 - Familiarity with JavaScript, JSON, and SQL for debugging, automation, and data validation.
 - Knowledge of HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRM/lifecycle platforms.
 - Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of owning end-to-end systems.

NICE TO HAVE
- Experience integrating with data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake).
 - Familiarity with server-side tagging or conversion APIs.
 - Understanding of privacy-compliant tracking (GA4, Consent Mode, CAPI).
 - Prior experience standing up marketing data infrastructure from scratch.

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE MEANS:
- You’ve built a reliable, scalable ad ops system powering all paid media tracking and attribution.
 - Data flows seamlessly from campaigns to analytics to CRM systems with full accuracy.
 - Issues are detected automatically and resolved quickly.
 - Marketing teams operate with confidence in data that’s complete, consistent, and actionable.
