POSITION OVERVIEW

The marketing & communications specialist will execute the day-to-day marketing and communications activities that bring AssistRx's brand and content strategy to life. Reporting to the marketing & communications manager, this role supports consistent and professional brand representation for all internal and external communications while assisting key leadership with business-critical communications. This position supports company events, digital marketing initiatives and the delivery of communications that align with brand guidelines. The ideal candidate is a creative and organized communicator with strong writing skills and a passion for storytelling in the life sciences and healthcare space.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation and Management

  • Research, write and produce a wide range of marketing content, including case studies, white papers, blog posts, email campaigns, newsletters and digital marketing assets, in alignment with AP Style and corporate brand guidelines.
  • Support the development and maintenance of an editorial content calendar, ensuring consistent and timely publication across channels.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to develop accurate, compelling and audience-appropriate content.
  • Ensure all content is reviewed and approved through the appropriate workflow and adheres to brand voice guidelines.
  • Coordinate the successful communication of organizational initiatives and projects to stakeholders.

Social Media

  • Manage day-to-day social media activity across platforms (primarily LinkedIn), including content creation, scheduling and community engagement.
  • Support the development of social media strategies and campaigns in alignment with marketing objectives.
  • Monitor social media performance, compile reports and share insights and recommendations with the manager.

Website Content

  • Execute website content updates via WordPress, coordinating with internal stakeholders to keep content current and accurate.
  • Apply SEO best practices to new and existing website content.
  • Flag and escalate website issues or opportunities to the manager as needed.

Thought Leadership and Conferences

  • Support conference and event logistics, including preparation of presentation materials, booth assets and pre- and post-event communications.
  • Support organization's presence at industry events, including displays, collateral development and overall event coordination.
  • Research industry trends and assist in drafting thought leadership content, including articles and speaking proposals.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather technical insights and translate them into accessible marketing content.

Digital Marketing and Email

  • Build, test and deploy email marketing campaigns using HubSpot.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of marketing automation workflows and nurture programs.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance metrics; provide regular reporting to support data-driven decision-making.

Internal Communications

  • Plan, edit and write content for internal communications channels, including SharePoint, staff emails, internal presentation decks and newsletters.
  • Provide support for internal events, including client meetings, by coordinating cross-functional teams.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of marketing and communications experience, preferably in life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceutical or a related B2B environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated mastery of AP Style.
  • Strong capabilities in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Deadline-driven and able to balance competing priorities while working independently or in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in specialty pharmacy, patient access, hub services or life sciences marketing.
  • Public relations, marketing or advertising agency experience.
  • Experience supporting conference or trade show participation.
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot or a comparable marketing automation platform.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Campaign Manager and social media scheduling tools.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar design tools for digital asset creation.
