Marketing & Communications Coordinator, Part-Time

Background: 

FamilyWell is the first behavioral health start-up to implement a perinatal collaborative care model that embeds a wrap-around mental health program directly into OB/GYN practices for pregnant and postpartum individuals. Our mission is to solve the maternal mental health crisis by increasing access to equitable, affordable, and accessible mental health care. Our specialized care team consists of social workers, coaches, therapists, and psychiatric providers in the OB provider’s clinical workflow (both in-person and virtually), ultimately becoming the behavioral health arm of the OB/GYN practice.

Department: Marketing & Communications

Reports to: Sasha Aparicio, Director of the FamilyWell Academy, with day-to-day collaboration with marketing leadership

Job Type: Part-Time, 10-15 hours per week 

Salary Range: $20/hr

Job Summary: 

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will support FamilyWell’s marketing efforts across brand building, content creation, and partner engagement. This is a hands-on role for someone excited to learn how an early-stage healthcare company builds awareness, credibility, and growth.

You’ll work closely with the marketing lead to execute against key priorities, including social media content, event support, and brand development. This role is ideal for someone who is both creative and organized, with a genuine interest in women’s health, mental health, or healthcare innovation. You’ll gain exposure to how early-stage healthcare companies build narrative, brand, and growth from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:  

Social Media Content Creation ~50%
  • Support execution of FamilyWell’s organic social media presence (specific focus on LinkedIn and Instagram), partnering with FamilyWell’s marketing team to align overarching content themes
  • Draft, edit, and schedule posts aligned to key content themes
  • Monitor engagement metrics (comments, shares, saves) and surface insights to inform future content
  • Identify opportunities to elevate FamilyWell’s brand voice, storytelling, and thought leadership
Content Creation & Design ~40%
  • Create visual assets in Canva to support FamilyWell’s marketing and industry presence across audiences and provide learning resources for providers, including social graphics, educational materials, one-pagers, event materials, and partner-facing content
Marketing Coordination ~10%
  • Track and research relevant conferences, societies, and speaking opportunities aligned to FamilyWell’s target audiences
  • Research industry trends, news, and competitive landscape relevant to maternal mental health, perinatal care, and behavioral health innovation 
  • Assist with additional brand-building projects as marketing priorities evolve

Success Metrics

  • Consistent execution of high-quality social and marketing content
  • Improved visibility and engagement across LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Organized and up-to-date tracking of events, speaking opportunities, and deadlines
  • Timely delivery of marketing materials and research outputs

Minimum Qualifications/Licenses :

  • Recent graduate or graduate student
  • Experience with LinkedIn and Instagram content creation
  • Experience with Canva, Google Suite, Notion, and basic design tools
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong interest in healthcare, women’s health, or mission-driven startups
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
