Role Overview

ID.me is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Brand Designer to help define and elevate the creative expression of our brand across touchpoints. As our first dedicated brand designer within the Marketing team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how the world experiences ID.me—through bold, elegant, and purposeful design. You will partner closely with leaders in marketing, product design, and sales to craft exceptional visuals that inspire trust, communicate value, and stand apart in a crowded marketplace. From high-stakes campaigns to everyday touchpoints, you will raise the bar on creative quality and consistency, acting as both a maker and a brand steward.

This is a rare opportunity to help build the creative foundation for a brand with a deep mission, in an environment that values clarity, rigor, brand and craft. At ID.me, Marketing is a seed-stage function in an established, high-growth, high-performing company.  As we scale, we’re building the foundational marketing capabilities to drive awareness, trust, growth, and engagement. Ultimately, we are shaping how a category-creating brand shows up in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Creative Execution of Marketing Design: Concept and execute visual assets for integrated campaigns across email, web, social, events, and paid media.
  • Develop Co-Branded Campaigns: Collaborate with customer teams to produce co-branded marketing materials, including event signage, social media assets, and joint campaigns – balancing ID.me’s identity with collaborator brands.
  • Design World-Class Collateral: Create stunning sales and executive presentations, case studies, brochures, and promotional materials that feel as considered as a flagship campaign.
  • Elevate the Website Experience: Collaborate on high-impact interactive design and landing page experiences that align with brand strategy, UX design, and growth goals.
  • Creative Leadership & Mentorship: Serve as a design voice within the organization. Offer critique, guidance, and cross-functional creative leadership—even before we grow the team.
  • Sales Enablement & Collateral: Design clean, effective materials that support sales conversations—think one-pagers, brochures, case studies, and pitch decks.
  • Craft Executive Presentations: Develop high-impact pitch documents and presentation visuals that articulate complex ideas with simplicity and polish.
  • Execute with Excellence Across the Brand System: Bring ID.me’s brand to life through exceptional craft. Apply our brand system with precision and creativity across a wide range of marketing and partner materials.
  • Balance Craft with Agility: Know when to iterate quickly, and when to slow down and obsess over the details that matter most.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with product designers, marketers, copywriters, and business leads to translate strategy into creative that performs.
  • Guide agency resources, as-needed: If needed to append our team, guide external resources to develop strong creative assets, storytelling materials and presentations

Who You Are

  • A strategic designer with exceptional visual instincts and a discerning eye for brand systems, layout, and storytelling.
  • Equally at home concepting from scratch or refining the smallest pixel in an existing asset.
  • Thoughtful and articulate—able to advocate for design choices in the context of brand strategy, user needs, and business impact.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and wearing many hats as part of a growing, entrepreneurial team.
  • Passionate about building brands that stand for something bigger—and creating work that earns trust and admiration.

What You Bring

  • 10-15 years of experience in brand or marketing design, preferably with a mix of in-house and agency backgrounds.
  • A refined, modern portfolio that showcases a command of typography, composition, color, and systems thinking across digital and physical mediums.
  • Experience owning end-to-end creative processes—from concept through execution—across a variety of marketing formats.
  • Strong fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and presentation tools; motion or web design experience is a plus.
  • Experience partnering directly with senior marketing, product, or executive stakeholders.
  • A strong sense of craft, responsibility, and curiosity.

The annual base salary listed does not include a company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity and benefits which will be determined based on experience, skills, education, relevant training, geographic location and role.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
