Job title

Marketing and Communications Manager (Asia)

Company Overview

At Trade Treasury Payments (TTP), we are building a world where trade, treasury, and payments flow seamlessly. We break down barriers through free education, community, and networks, providing industry professionals with timely, independent, and actionable content.

TTP is the only totally free media platform in transaction banking, bringing together the most influential voices and shaping the meaningful conversations that matter. No spin, no bias, no gatekeeping—just honest, high-value insights for the global trade, treasury, and payments community.

We also run a boutique white-label communications and editorial agency supporting leading institutions with specialist marketing, knowledge dissemination, and strategic media execution. Our clients include global banks, multilateral development institutions, and trade finance innovators.

Role overview

We are seeking an experienced and independent Communications & Knowledge Manager to support our work with our Asia based clients. This is a full-time, Asia-based role embedded within the TTP team but focused exclusively on servicing our clients’ external communications and knowledge strategy.

You’ll be the link between TTP’s editorial, design, events, and CMS teams in London and Asia, and the broader client teams across Asia. You’ll work directly with client stakeholders, relationship managers, and the internal comms team to shape content, manage outputs, and ensure timely delivery of key communication materials across digital, print, and live formats.

The ideal candidate will be a strong writer, editor, and communicator with a track record of executing institutional communications, ideally in development, finance, or public sector environments. They will also need to operate with minimal supervision and manage input from multiple stakeholders across time zones.

Key responsibilities

Strategic Communications & Editorial

  • Lead the development and execution of a 12-month strategic communications plan for a flagship client, aligning content outputs with agreed objectives and milestones

  • Act as the main liaison point between the client’s internal teams and our editorial, design, digital, and project teams to ensure delivery of high-quality, on-brand communications

  • Draft, edit, and oversee production of marketing materials, blogs, articles, newsletters, press releases, and social media copy (2–3 weekly outputs expected)

  • Coordinate with the client’s internal communications team to raise awareness of ongoing projects and ensure messaging is aligned

  • Regularly review and update client website content, providing editorial and UX feedback

Campaigns & Events Support

  • Support the marketing strategy, content planning, and execution of up to 20 client events annually (both in-person and virtual), including speaker briefings, content toolkits, and post-event coverage

  • Work with internal stakeholders and the client to define event objectives, speakers, audiences, and messaging

  • Partner with in-house and freelance designers to develop branded content and assets pre-and post-event

Content & Asset Management

  • Manage a repository of multimedia content (images, video, audio) to support ongoing client communications and campaigns

  • Collaborate with our CMS and design teams to ensure timely publishing of content and quality assurance of visual materials

  • Maintain editorial calendars, campaign trackers, and reporting dashboards across client deliverables

Internal & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client-side communications leads and programme managers

  • Coordinate delivery schedules and production timelines with our in-house content, design, events, and web teams

  • Provide weekly updates, reports, and briefings to the agency’s account and editorial leadership

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • 10+ years of professional experience in communications, media, marketing, or content management

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English, with a sharp editorial eye

  • Experience managing or delivering communications for high-profile institutional or international clients

  • Confident working independently and across remote, multicultural teams

  • Familiarity with content planning, social media platforms (especially LinkedIn), and editorial workflows

  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities

Desirable

  • Experience working in or with Asia-based teams

  • Knowledge of international development, trade, finance, or economic policy issues

  • Proficiency with CMS platforms, digital asset management, and light-touch design tools (e.g. Canva, Figma)

  • Prior agency or consultancy experience managing client relationships and deliverables

Location

  • This is a remote-first role, based in Asia (preferably in the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam or similar)

  • Occasional travel may be required to regional meetings or events

Company Values & Benefits

At TTP, we simplify trade, treasury, and payments. We are committed to inclusion, excellence, and creating honest, independent conversations that move the industry forward. We are an equal opportunities employer.

  • Fully remote, flexible working structure

  • Creative and collaborative agency culture with a clear mission and impact

  • Access to world-class editorial, design, and media production resources

  • Annual personal development and training budget

  • Attendance at leading industry events and conferences

  • Generous leave policy, with additional time off during key holidays

  • Team offsites, strategy days, and wellness initiatives throughout the year

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
