At Resource Innovations, we strive to make a positive difference in the world through energy efficiency. We believe in doing the right thing, getting it right, and continuously finding better ways of working. If you value integrity, innovation, and delivering quality service beyond expectations, we encourage you to apply.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely project data uploads.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from customers and client representatives.
  • Engage with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders to understand needs and support program success.
  • Lead assigned projects by clarifying objectives, asking thoughtful questions, and delivering well-developed solutions within established timelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

RequirementsMinimum Requirements
  • Must be located in the state of California.
  • Experience supporting utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs, preferably in California.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction while contributing effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and program database systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
  • Demonstrated interest in sustainability and passion for environmental impact.
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in energy efficiency program operations, business analysis, or utility program delivery.
  • Experience working directly with California investor-owned utilities (IOUs).
  • Familiarity with program tracking systems (Salesforce, CRM platforms, or similar databases).
  • Experience managing invoicing processes, forecasting, accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of California energy efficiency policies, regulatory frameworks, and market engagement strategies.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
