Flint Assembly is looking for an individual that has experience in joining and dispensing methodologies. The candidate would be responsible for maintaining and continually improving our vast welding and sealing network. Additionally, the candidate would be responsible for serving as group leader to the Div 1 hourly employees responsible for validating the performance of said network. This role involves significant amount of interaction with other departments within the plant and suppliers.

Work Arrangement
- This role is an Onsite position, on second shift the expectation is that you are reporting to the plant daily, working approximately 2 Saturdays per month

The candidate would be responsible for maintaining and continually improving our vast welding and sealing network. Additionally, the candidate would be responsible for serving as group leader to the Div 1 hourly employees responsible for validating the performance of said network. This role involves significant amount of interaction with other departments within the plant and suppliers.
What you'll do/Responsibilities
- Maintain quality standards. Internal to Body, external to Paint, GA and to the customer
- Monitor joining metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure adherence to all joining and dispense PCP requirements
- Support Floor Operations , Process Improvements, Project Work, TIP Action Items.
- Problem investigation and resolution utilizing PPS.
- Perform report out on issues and what the corrective actions to prevent in the future
- Write work instructions / TIS's / STS's updating existing processes and training individuals
- Supporting Model Year changes related to build out and startup -
- Assist in preparing weld quality reports and reviews for plant leadership
- Manage Hourly EE: Kronos, VAC, OT
- Maintain relationships with UAW and other support personnel
- Business Plan Deployment (BPD) and Global Manufacturing System (GMS)
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years' relevant experience required
- Ability to solve complex problems
- Ability to work effectively with a cross-functional group; leading the group as needed
- Ability to multi-task on multiple critical issues at the same time
- Ability to work effectively under a high amount of stress
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in manufacturing automation such as: robotic welding and dispense operations
- Bachelor's degree in Weld Engineering
- Previous welding experience in a Manufacturing facility
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
