The Manufacturing Engineer provides technical support for production, improves product quality, and leads continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with various departments.
Job Description
Our C4ISR business unit (Command, Control, Communications, Computer Intelligence Surveillance, Reconnaissance) is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support for the production team. Responsibilities include and are not limited to providing documentation and floor support associated with safety, manufacturing and quality methods, tooling, and equipment. The Manufacturing Engineer aggressively initiates new processes and methods for continuous improvement in the areas of safety, cost reduction, standardization, and quality. Provides design support to ensure smooth transition to manufacturing for new products and projects. Design Test Interface Fixtures for cable and new production build including ordering Test Equipment, writing test procedures, and creating test profiles. The Manufacturing Engineer reports to the Operations Managers, and works with Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, and the Quality Department.
Position is 1st shift on a 9/80 schedule

Full-Time Salary Range: $77809 - $132275
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

- Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and 5+ years Experience
- Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production
- Work with Production Managers and Supervisors to resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design
- Monitor labor and material costs and inform management of excessive costs relating to project or product implementations
- Evaluate and implement Engineering Changes and Deviations for materials and processes.
- Lead periodic quality corrective and preventive action reviews, track the quality status of projects
- Develop and Train work instructions for manufacturing processes and tool operation
- Investigate and evaluate Mil-Spec Connectors for compatibility with current production
- Familiarity in using CAD Programs-Visio or similar
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

- Work with applicable support groups to resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design
- Lead Kaizen Teams to successful completion of targeted projects
- Lead programs to successful completion of targeted projects
- Monitor labor and material costs and inform management of excessive costs relating to project or product implementations
- Evaluate and implement Engineering Changes for materials and processes.
- Lead periodic quality corrective and preventive action reviews, track the quality status of projects
- Develop and Train work instructions for manufacturing processes and tool operation
- Investigate and evaluate Mil-Spec Connectors for compatibility with current production
- Familiarity in using CAD Programs-Visio or similar
- Experienced in Microsoft Office Applications
- Familiar with LabView
- BOM management and integration of Engineering changes and Manufacturers notices
- Knowledge of documentation for schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience in MS Office Suite
