The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join the Performance Build Center team. The Performance Build Center facility is located within the Bowling Green Assembly plant. Our facility produces high performance engines for Corvette, Cadillac V-Series, and other applications.
In this role you will be responsible for many aspects of the engine assembly process such as Engine Testing, Torque Tool Programming, Machine Troubleshooting, and Process Continuous Improvement Projects.
What You'll Do: (Responsibilities):

  • Analyze engine test process data for build defect detection and throughput improvements
  • Create innovative solutions to increase manufacturing throughput and built in quality
  • Monitor all engine process equipment data and implement adjustments for machine performance
  • Program torque controllers and evaluate torque rundown data for trends
  • Design tooling for production process improvements
  • Maintain Process Control Plans and PFMEA
  • Maintain equipment and spare parts ordering


Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities: ( Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work OT and weekends
  • Ability to work all shifts (1st & 2nd)
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to optimize complex data
  • Experience solving technical problems and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience reading and understanding mechanical and electrical blueprints


What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master's Degree in Engineering
  • Atlas Copco Torque Tool Experience
  • Engine Test Systems Experience (Bauer, CTS, Uson, Marposs)
  • Engine Technical Knowledge
  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • PLC Programming Experience
  • Experience in purchasing through SAP/Ariba
