POSITION SUMMARY: Manufacturing process flow and strong leadership skills are a must. This position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of associates. Responsibilities will include training employees; scheduling, assigning and directing work. Open communication, problem solving, and hands on assembly. Responsible for learning product variation and performing quality inspection (final TQC). Responsible for compliance with quality standards including ISO 13485 and FDA Quality Systems Regulations (QSR).  Ensure compliance in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Ongoing communication with Management, involving applicable person(s) or department for personnel problems.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hands on learning and assembly, of various standard and custom builds.
  • Communication of daily goals, part shortages, backlog, and overtime, processes, policies, and announcements.
  • Maintain and report department scoreboards – daily goals, part shortages, backlog, safety, overtime.
  • Manage and adjust inventory according to usage.
  • Follow up and respond to expedite email requests.
  • Manage production workflow and work with other depts. to meet daily goals.
  • Communicate to Business Unit Leader (BUL) any Production/Associates issues and concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with work instructions and Sunrise policies and procedures.
  • Mentor and assist in the development and growth of the team. Assist in the training of new hires or transfers.
  • Responsible for NCMRs. Monitor quality practices and review quality rejects with team.
  • Monitor production processes, ensure schedules and handle production problems accordingly. Manage inventory, turnaround, kanbans, and cycle counts.
  • Conduct routine departmental and team meetings as needed.
  • Manages time-off, timekeeping adjustments, and track attendance.
  • Oversee safety and housekeeping of area.
  • During final TQC, inspects finished product and parts order for quality and compliance to work order. Assists in resolving quality issues.
  • Responsible for following all procedures and work instructions pertaining to inspection of finished product. May work on special projects/assignments upon request.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting and an understanding of general manufacturing principles and requirements.
  • Strong experience and proven ability in team driven department.
  • Previous management/supervisory role experience is a plus.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of JDE is a plus.

Qualifications
