The Managing Principal role is responsible for leading a firm by building a strategy for growth and alignment to 1847Financial. The role is responsible for driving results, including sales growth and recruiting. The role is responsible for the overall firm health, including financial viability and profitability.

Responsibilities
- Recruit and select financial professionals who seek a closely affiliated relationship with Penn Mutual and HTK.
- Recruit and develop other firm leaders.
- Select, manage, develop and lead a skilled team of firm support personnel.
- Manage the financial health of the firm to profitability.
- Become and remain well versed in the features and benefits of all Penn Mutual life and annuity products.
- Become and remain well versed in the features and benefits of the HTK platform.
- Create and communicate a vision for the firm and to lead a “virtual” organization.
- Develop and sustain consistent, lasting business relationships.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work to accomplish production objectives.
- Ability to manage conflict resolution and problem solving.
- Strong skills at point of sale.
- Experienced in formulating and packaging sales concepts.
- Understands large case underwriting and packaging.
Skills and Abilities
- A strong communicator (verbal, written, and platform) as well as a good listener.
- Personally can prepare illustrations and presentations using industry / PML software
- Utilizes Microsoft office software (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- User of the Internet / company e-mail system.
- Ability to make a positive contribution as demonstrated by learning new skills and making suggestions for process/procedure improvement.
- Ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment.
- A successful record of recruiting, selecting, and mentoring field leaders.
- Successful experience and expertise in needs based sales in the business, estate, and affluent marketplace.
- Success in developing lead generation opportunities for the affluent markets.
- Former successes not based solely on product, underwriting, or producer compensation.
- Successful sales experience with variable life and annuity products.
- Well-versed in the features / benefits of all life insurance products. Distribution experience with Broker/Dealers and Registered Reps.
- Knowledge about competitor’s products as well as Penn Mutual’s products.
- Compliance and Market Conduct sales supervisory experience.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience
- More than 10 Years Financial services sales experience Required
Licenses
- FINRA Series 7 Upon Hire Required and
- FINRA Series 24 Preferred and
- Certified Financial Planner-CFP Board CLU, ChFC or CFP Preferred
