ROLE SUMMARY:

As the Trade Marketing Manager at Golden Road, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to boost brand awareness and drive sales in the competitive craft beer industry. Collaborating with sales teams, distributors, and stakeholders, your focus is on creating impactful trade marketing programs aligned with Golden Road Brewing's brand identity. Responsible for the Golden Road Portfolio, your duties include managing at-retail Point-of-Consumer Materials, retail programming, sweeps, couponing, and overseeing merchandise for both on and off-premise trimester programming. Additionally, you provide vital support to the sales team, addressing additional requests such as off-cycle programming, partner programming, mobile asset, and venue execution. Moreover, you oversee asset management across various digital platforms. Join us in shaping Golden Road Brewing's success and making a lasting impact in the craft beer market.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and administer a strategic promotional plan (using trade assets and merchandise) in coordination with the overarching annual plan. This plan will include channel architecture, asset coordination and development, consumer profiling, route to market and consumer journey.

  • Execute against the brand calendar, including experiential pulse points, trade tactics, programming, and promotion.

  • Work in coordination with the Golden Road Sales Team and assist in their sales efforts both within the wholesaler network and in-market through cohesive trade, POCM, on/off premise tools, and programming strategies.

  • Liaison with the Anheuser-Busch Commercial Strategy Office on executional tactics and strategy pressure-testing for trade and merchandise programs.

  • Work in collaboration with Golden Road’ trade agencies on the development of annual/trimester trade playbooks, messaging, overall look/feel of the brand at trade, and campaign execution.

  • Develop clear and cohesive brand briefs for cross-functional collaboration within the marketing org.

  • Present ideas, concepts, and strategies upstream to the Brand Managers and the Director of Marketing.

  • Develop and maintain the inventory of merchandise as well as the development of new items designed to engage with the Golden Road consumer.

  • Management of merchandise inventory with the collaboration of Craft West Merchandise Manager for sales related merchandise platforms.

  • Management and organization of all trade assets across digital platforms.

  • Strong strategic communication internally and externally ensuring the Golden Road Brands are represented as best-in-class across all channels.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • 5+ years’ experience required with a background in marketing, trade marketing, merchandising, e-commerce, or other CPG companies.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
