Job Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee assignment and reallocation of phone numbers in compliance with local, national, and international regulations
  • Manage and optimize the organization's phone number inventory, ensuring efficient usage and forecasting future demand, and improve management processes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and submit necessary reports to agencies like the FCC
  • Address customer issues related to number porting, changes, and service continuity
  • Generate reports on number utilization and recommend strategies for efficient number management
  • Collaborate with telecom regulators and service providers to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies (e.g., 5G, IoT) to support seamless integration and uninterrupted customer service
  • Lead and support a team (if applicable) in managing telephone number inventory and vendor relations

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years in telecommunications management within telephone numbering
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, Neustar and NPAC and leading teams

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in telecom environments, including roles with service providers or regulatory bodies, with deep knowledge of numbering plans, number portability, and national/international compliance requirements.
  • Solid understanding of telecommunications systems, including VoIP, mobile networks, PSTN, and the technical aspects of number routing and portability.
  • Proven ability to manage number allocation projects, migrations, and system upgrades, with proficiency in database systems and project management tools.
  • Skilled in interpreting and implementing telecom regulations, maintaining strong relationships with telecom regulators, and collaborating with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Capable of analyzing number usage patterns, forecasting demand, resolving conflicts, and ensuring the accuracy and security of number databases.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to coordinate with telecom providers, regulatory authorities, and cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and compliant number assignments.
  • Meticulous in managing number allocations, maintaining precise records, and ensuring uninterrupted service and full compliance with evolving regulatory standards.

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
