Dive in and do the best work of your career at DigitalOcean. Journey alongside a strong community of top talent who are relentless in their drive to build the simplest scalable cloud. If you have a growth mindset, naturally like to think big and bold, and are energized by the fast-paced environment of a true industry disruptor, you’ll find your place here.  We value winning together—while learning, having fun, and making a profound difference for the dreamers and builders in the world.

DigitalOcean is looking for a Recruiting Operations & Enablement Manager to own the systems, processes, and infrastructure that power our recruiting function. This is a hands-on role: you'll manage the day-to-day health of our recruiting tech stack, build the operational rigor that lets recruiting scale cleanly as the business grows, and partner closely with recruiters and People teams to remove friction from the hiring process.

You're equally comfortable setting operational strategy and getting into the weeds of an ATS workflow, a scheduling exception, or a messy report. You build things that hold up as the company scales including the documentation and data hygiene expected of a public company.

What You'll Do
  • Own the strategy and day-to-day operation of our recruiting systems, including our ATS and scheduling/coordination tooling, ensuring they're configured, adopted, and running smoothly across the recruiting org.
  • Build and document repeatable, scalable processes that hold up as headcount and hiring volume grow.
  • Own data hygiene and reporting across recruiting systems: clean requisition data, accurate candidate and pipeline records, and dashboards recruiting and business leaders can trust.
  • Partner with recruiters to identify the biggest sources of friction and manual work, then prioritize and build solutions — whether that's a new workflow, automation, or process redesign leveraging AI and tools.
  • Evaluate and implement new recruiting technology and AI-enabled tools that make the team meaningfully more effective, and manage vendor relationships with a focus on ROI.
  • Work as a close partner to People Operations, Legal and Finance on shared processes such as offer letter management, background checks, and headcount approvals, ensuring clean handoffs.
  • Define success metrics for recruiting operations and use data to drive continuous improvement across the candidate and interviewer experience.
  • Build and maintain processes with the rigor and auditability expected of a public company, anticipating compliance needs before they're required.
What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean
  • 5+ years of experience in recruiting operations, with hands-on experience in recruiting coordination, systems administration, and process design.
  • 2+ years of experience managing people or leading cross-functional workstreams.
  • Proven experience building and documenting processes that are repeatable and support data hygiene across recruiting systems.
  • Strong command of ATS platforms (e.g., Greenhouse, Ashby, Workday) and recruiting/scheduling tools.
  • A data-driven approach to program management, with experience building KPIs, dashboards, and translating insights into action.
  • Comfortable experimenting with AI tools and automation (e.g., Zapier, scripts, AI-powered workflows) to reduce manual work.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to earn buy-in and drive adoption across teams without relying on formal authority.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in a high-growth, publicly traded tech company, particularly with SOX-related process considerations.
  • Familiarity with employer branding, referral programs, or other recruiting programs work.
  • Experience partnering directly with People Operations on offer management and background checks.
Compensation Range:
  • $120,000 - $150,000

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
