OUR MISSION

Imagine building a better healthcare journey for patients with cancer, where individuals and their loved ones feel seen, supported, and heard by their care team – both in and out of the clinic. Where fast access to high-quality care is the norm, not the exception. Where patients have access to a care navigator to guide them through their diagnosis and trusted support all along the way.

At Thyme Care, we share a passion for transforming the cancer care experience – not just for patients but also for their caregivers and loved ones, as well as those delivering and paying for their care. Today, Thyme Care is known predominantly as a cancer care navigation company enabling value-based cancer care; in the next few years, we will become a nationally recognized technology-driven and provider-centric care delivery model, reshaping the landscape of cancer care access, delivery, and experience. Our commitment runs deep—we're not satisfied with the status quo but determined to redefine it.

To make this happen, we’re building a diverse team of problem solvers and critical thinkers to drive innovation and shape the future of healthcare. If you share our vision and want to be part of something truly meaningful, we want to hear from you. Together, we can revolutionize cancer care and make a difference that lasts a lifetime.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Finance Manager on the Strategic Finance team, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining the financial backbone of a scaling, multi-entity business. You will:

  • Serve as the day-to-day finance partner for business and provider teams, working closely with leaders to improve financial operations, reporting, and contracting.
  • Own recurring FP&A processes including monthly reporting, budget-to-actuals, and board deliverables.
  • Help evolve our long-term financial model to reflect new business initiatives and company growth.
  • Maintain a clean, investor-ready model and support preparation for financing events.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Recruiting, and Accounting to ensure forecasts reflect reality.
  • Provide financial insights that enable executives to make faster, better decisions.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

  • 3–6 years of finance experience (FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or related), with at least some direct exposure to corporate finance or FP&A.
  • Strong Excel and modeling skills; able to build and maintain complex models.
  • Experience creating recurring reports and presenting insights to business leaders.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with operators and accounting teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Prior experience in healthcare, value-based care, or multi-entity environments.
  • Exposure to fundraising, investor reporting, or complex partnerships.

WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS

Act with our members in mind. You care deeply about the impact of our work in cancer care, and you bring that same thoughtfulness to financial decisions.
Move with purpose. You’re proactive and organized, you know how to keep priorities moving and get things done.
Comfortable with ambiguity. You thrive in a fast-growing environment where things change quickly, and you adapt without losing momentum.
Bring expertise. You have strong financial modeling and analytical skills, and you can turn numbers into insights that drive action.
Operate independently. You can own processes end-to-end with minimal handholding, while keeping stakeholders aligned along the way.
Collaborate well. You build trust across teams and know how to partner closely with colleagues in operations, accounting, and leadership.

OUR VALUES

At Thyme Care, our core values guide us in everything we do: Act with our members in mind, Move with purpose, and Seek diverse perspectives. They anchor our business decisions, including how we grow, the products we make, and the paths we choose—or don’t choose.

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Thyme Care.  Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Thyme Care employees. The base salary for this role is $135,000-$150,000. The salary range could be lower or higher than this if the role is hired at another level.

We recognize a history of inequality in healthcare. We’re here to challenge the status quo and create a culture of inclusion through the care we give and the company we build. We embrace and celebrate a diversity of perspectives in reflection of our members and the members we serve. We are an equal-opportunity employer.

Be cautious of recruitment fraud, and always confirm that communications are coming from an official Thyme Care email.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
