Strategic Finance Manager

Position Overview:

The Strategic Finance team partners directly with the CFO and other executive leaders on cross-functional finance, strategy, and business initiatives. The team builds and supports the financial, analytical, and strategic infrastructure needed to scale a rapidly growing company, and serves as the go-to resource for cross-functional analysis, business case development, and subject matter expertise across company and partner-level finance. Team members gain direct exposure to the core executive team and meaningful visibility into the financial operations of one of the fastest-growing healthcare enterprises in the country, providing a strong foundation for future finance, strategy, and business leadership roles.

The Strategic Finance Manager will report to the Senior Director of Strategic Finance and serve as a highly visible partner across Finance, with regular collaboration across FP&A, 340B, Revenue Cycle Management, Strategic and Regional Operations, Commercial, Payor and Trade Relations, and Public Policy. The role is focused on solving complex business challenges that require a strong blend of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and operational understanding. The Manager will lead analyses and special projects covering partner performance, unit economics, contract structures, drug pricing dynamics, and emerging healthcare policy impacts. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, enjoys tackling new and complex questions, and is comfortable operating as a utility player across a rapidly growing organization. Success requires exceptional analytical capability, strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to translate complex financial and operational concepts into actionable recommendations.

Representative Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Policy teams, leading cross-functional projects that require financial, operational, and strategic analysis 
  • Analyze specialty pharmacy economics at both the company and partner-site level 
  • Evaluate drug pricing dynamics, manufacturer strategies, reimbursement trends, and market events 
  • Assess company-wide and partner-specific impacts from federal and state healthcare policy developments 
  • Support contract analysis, resolution, and negotiation efforts with partners and other stakeholders in the value chain 
  • Quantify risks and opportunities tied to reimbursement, drug mix, pricing, and partner contract structures across the portfolio 
  • Develop data-driven business cases, strategic recommendations, and decision frameworks for growth opportunities, operational improvements, and complex business challenges 
  • Engage leaders across the organization as a thought partner to enable a more proactive, value-creation orientation 

Skills and Position Requirements (continued):

  • 3+ years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, transaction advisory, healthcare strategy, or healthcare finance 
  • Healthcare or specialty pharmacy exposure is a strong plus 
  • Exceptional Excel and financial modeling skills, including analysis of large and complex datasets and clear business visualization 
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional projects and translate technical analyses for non-financial audiences 
  • Strong understanding of business models and unit economics 
  • Ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete action plans 
  • Highly accurate, detail-oriented, and data-driven in decision making 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to roll up the sleeves and move quickly 
  • Self-starter who works effectively with limited oversight and thrives wearing multiple hats 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills 
  • Cultural fit: genuine appreciation for the Company's history and a commitment to earning the respect of the team

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Advanced degree a plus

Location:

  • Boston, Chicago, New York City Preferred; Hybrid/Remote Office (1-2 Days a week) or
