About the role:

We are looking for a self-starter who builds strong client relationships and takes ownership of day-to-day client inputs, working under limited instruction with guidance available on more ambiguous items. The ideal candidate supports the client relationship, using Pacvue's platform and data to execute agreed-upon strategies and flag opportunities for manager review, beginning to exercise independent judgment on day-to-day decisions. Day to day, this includes supporting paid search and display media execution for various retailers, helping prepare budget recommendations to help clients hit their business objectives, flagging operational KPIs or opportunities that impact advertising effectiveness, and delivering regular reporting on performance. This role requires someone who can work through a data set, follow established frameworks to build out a plan, and present findings and recommendations to the manager or team lead, who will align senior stakeholders. This team owns some of our most complex and highest-value accounts, spanning both enterprise brands and agency-managed clients, working within established account management processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the client relationship by building solid rapport, demonstrating transparency, and helping deliver results against joint business objectives
  • Help develop growth plans under manager guidance, support client alignment conversations, and execute against the agreed-upon approach
  • Measure efficacy of the strategy through regular reporting against core retail media KPIs and support ad-hoc audits to identify areas for refinement
  • Apply retail media activities and other retail readiness recommendations to drive increased traffic and conversion and organic search ranking improvement
  • Flag incremental sales opportunities to the manager through participation in retailer programs, additional promotional opportunities, and recommendations to improve operational KPIs
  • Help develop budget recommendations and support allocation across campaigns to align with business objectives, with manager review
  • Support development of the annual marketing calendar, incorporating key drive periods including relevant macro and micro seasons, new product launches, and client media calendars
  • Use Pacvue technology to manage budget pacing, communicate with clients on trends and pacing, and help deliver results within client budget thresholds
  • Prepare weekly and monthly retail media performance reports, analyze category trends, measure advertising and total sales, identify account trends, and support competitive benchmarking across the client's product portfolio
  • Support efforts to grow retailer share, revenue, and profitability for clients while factoring in the client's internal objectives such as driving innovation or key items or product lines
  • Support retail media plans for new product launches, including recommendations for retail readiness across core KPIs
  • Assist with reporting, analysis, and communication with Pacvue and client management teams

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce sales and/or digital marketing
  • The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, demonstrate ownership, work collaboratively, be transparent, be action and results oriented, and have strong analytical skills
  • Hands-on experience supporting paid search and/or paid display campaigns, ideally within a retail media platform (Amazon, Walmart, Instacart, Criteo, or similar)
  • Develop a working understanding of how retail media, sales, and operations connect, applying Pacvue's standard playbooks and guidelines to day-to-day account work
  • Prior account support or account coordination experience
  • Prior product management, project management, financial analysis, negotiation and/or marketing experience is a plus
  • Experience building relationships, working at or with agencies, and supporting account management is a plus
  • Track record of driving results and implementing ideas in a fast-paced environment
  • Works efficiently and is always looking to streamline processes and workflows
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience using AI to expedite or build new workflows (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.)
  • Moderate Excel skills are a must

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
