Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting

Intapp, Inc. is looking for a Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of SEC reporting and technical accounting, this role is central to the company’s financial reporting and compliance activities.

The ideal candidate brings US public company experience and the ability to manage a broad range of external reporting and technical accounting responsibilities — someone who thrives at the intersection of technical rigor and cross-functional partnership, takes end-to-end ownership of the reporting process, and is invested in building and growing a high-performing team.

What you will do:

  • Own and drive timely preparation and submission of SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy, and other periodic filings in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.

  • Monitor and assess developments at the SEC and FASB for potential impacts on accounting or financial statement disclosures. Assist with adoption of new accounting standards as required.

  • Prepare or review supporting schedules and documentation for the earnings releases and the financial statements and the accompanying footnote disclosures.

  • Prepare or review journal entries, accounting analyses, forecasts and reconciliations related to stock-based compensation, earnings per share, stock repurchases and other equity-based transactions.

  • Prepare or review disclosure checklists and ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.

  • Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships, such as stock administration, HR, tax, treasury, and legal and participate in conducting assessments of accounting and financial reporting matters.

  • Liaise with the external auditors during quarter reviews and annual audits and ensure timely delivery of required responses and schedules.

  • Maintain strong ICFR documentation and operate key controls for external reporting and select technical areas.

  • Support ad-hoc projects and analysis which may include but are not limited to benchmarking, peer disclosure analysis, and others.

  • Manage and coach analysts and help foster long-term successes in their career.

What you will need:

  • 5+ years in SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting role, preferably including Big 4 background, with at least 3+ years in stock-based compensation accounting in a public company setting and a track record of leading and mentoring team members.

  • An ability to independently research and conclude on US GAAP or SEC reporting matters with strong documentation and memo-writing skills.

  • Proficiency with Netsuite, Shareworks, Workiva, or equivalent platforms.

  • Experience with ICFR framework and documentation requirements.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively across teams and time zones.

  • A willingness to learn and a strong desire to enact changes where necessary.

  • US CPA strongly preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
