About the role:
As a Manager of the SE Operations Team at Samsara, you’d be part of a diverse group of technically minded folks working together to bring our unique connected operations technology to customers. Our Global SE Team works with prospects and customers on solutions for logistics/supply chain management, fleet maintenance strategies, global asset management, machine control systems/diagnostics, system integration, and regulatory compliance. The SE Operations Team ensures that our SE Team is enabled for success in the Field by providing operating planning, new hire onboarding, technical enablement, process management, tooling, in-person events, and performance reporting. This role will ensure strong execution and continuous improvement in all of these areas.

In this role, you will:
- Manage a high performing team of embedded Operations professionals looking after the Sales Engineering Team at Samsara. Team Members currently include Program/Project Managers, Data Scientists, and Technical enablement professionals
- Reporting to the Sr. Director level, build and maintain a comprehensive Program that supports Samsara’s Global Sales Engineering Team, including, but not limited to:
- Participation in annual operating planning, capacity planning, GTM planning, and managing all productivity software and tooling used by the SE Team
- Ensuring a healthy, well communicated career framework for SE’s, including partnering with the People Team to maintain a strong a talent funnel
- Ensuring strong cross-functional partnerships across all internal teams, including Sales, Product, Marketing, Operations, and Sales Enablement Orgs.
- Enabling SE Ops team to champion/own SE Event planning such as the annual SE Summit, requiring expert knowledge in logistics and project management
- Partnering with Product, Sales, and SE Leadership to drive technical enablement strategy that strongly equips SE’s for success in the Field
- Build strong operational performance reporting to be delivered directly to the Executive Leadership Team
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A passion for new technologies, especially as they apply to the Industrial IoT space
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 7+ years of experience in Consulting, Finance, Business Operations, Sales Strategy & Operations or other analytical role
- 3+ years leading a team and/or program as part of a GTM function
- Experience building processes and enablement strategies resulting in measurable increases in organizational productivity and efficiency
- A firm understanding of business process automation, and experience driving cross-functional initiatives to completion
- Enthusiastic about enablement program management & supporting technical sales and product teams
An ideal candidate also has:
- MS/MBA
- Fluency in AI terminology and strategy, especially in business process design
- Understanding of software development and release cycles, with a focus on New Product Introduction and technical enablement
- Experience building and managing intake processes and roadmaps to organize and report on team productivity
- Experience leading planning and execution of a multi-day conference-style event for an audience of 200+ stakeholders
