About the job

This position is needed to lead a hybrid outbound SDR team driving net-new customer acquisition across both the NAMER and LATAM markets. The Sales Development team is a critical pillar of our go-to-market strategy, focused on securing new logos and building high-quality pipeline across high-growth prospects. In this role, you will guide your team to activate strategic ICPs by mapping Twilio’s platform value to high-priority, regional, and vertical-specific customer needs. As the frontline face of our brand, our SDRs must adapt quickly and execute with high precision to win market share across diverse territories.

The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative, data-driven leader with a proven track record in pipeline generation and a deep appreciation for regional market dynamics. You have experience scaling outbound motions across different territories, navigating diverse account lists, and a genuine passion for coaching and investing in your team's long-term career growth.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a hybrid team of 8+ reps through regular 1:1 mentoring, tactical skill alignment, and localized training to elevate pipeline performance - initially focusing on supporting 4 LATAM reps.
  • Own regional team performance metrics (activity, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution) across both NAMER and LATAM, utilizing data analysis to continuously optimize outreach strategies and business outcomes.
  • Empower reps to master all SDR skillsets, including prospecting, refining account targeting, tailoring messaging for different regional buyer personas, and applying use cases effectively.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with regional Sales and GTM leadership to establish tight feedback loops, streamline workflows, and build a consistent, high-quality pipeline generation machine.
  • Drive optimized adoption of the SDR tech stack (SFDC, Outreach, ZoomInfo, LI Sales Nav, Gong) to build out repeatable, efficient workflows.
  • Hire, onboard, and scale future talent while proactively managing performance gaps and cultivating a highly motivated, high-accountability team culture.

Qualifications

Twilio values diverse experiences from all kinds of industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

*Required:

  • 2+ years of Sales/SDR leadership in high-growth tech companies, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding pipegen targets.
  • Demonstrated success in high-growth customer acquisition, with experience executing or coaching teams through product-led growth (PLG) or hybrid inbound-to-outbound motions.
  • Deep expertise in the LATAM market, including localized selling strategies, cultural nuances, and regional business best practices.
  • Skilled at championing and testing AI utilities within SDR workflows to optimize prospecting, sequencing, and research.
  • Expertise in steering signal-led, high-quality outbound strategies that blend tailored messaging with structured activity KPIs to capture target accounts.
  • Strong understanding of the cloud communications/SaaS industry and the ability to leverage data to optimize qualification and messaging strategies.
  • Proficiency with SDR tech stacks (SFDC, Outreach, ZoomInfo, LI Sales Nav, Gong) and a track record of driving tool adoption.
  • Excellent executive presence with a demonstrated ability to analyze data, coach reps 1:1, and influence stakeholders from ICs to the C-suite.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is required (Spanish language preference).

Desired:

  • Experience supporting and/or selling SaaS products (CDP or CPaaS preferred).

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
