Notion is an in person company, and currently requires its employees to come to the office for two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) and requests that employees spend the majority of their week in the office (including a third day).

About The Role:

The Manager, Renewal Manager (AMER) is part of Notion's Sales organization and works closely with cross-functional partners both within and outside of GTM. This leader will manage a team of Relationship Managers, each responsible for their book of business retention and ensuring predictable, timely renewals. Relationship Managers own their accounts, focusing on retaining existing paid customers and ensuring their long-term success.

What You'll Achieve:
  1. Founding member of the Renewal Team: The Relationship Manager role is relatively new at Notion. You will be a founding member of this team and you'll join at the perfect time to shape how we grow from here.
  2. Building Global Processes: You will be directly responsible for leading Relationship Managers in our AMER region. You will also be responsible for defining and building the global processes that are used in EMEA and APAC.
  3. Leading a Healthy Business: Your team will be the first line of contact for all our customer's needs. As the leader, you will be chartered with forecasting a healthy and predictable revenue business.
  4. Meaningfully shape our future product: As you and your team engages with customers, you'll gain insights to help us serve them better — and work with the product to inform what we do next. You will work cross functionally with teams within and outside of GTM to help bring our business to the next level.
  5. Elevate your skills as we tackle our most impactful challenges: We've achieved more than teams 10x our size in less time — and there's so much more to do and learn.
Skills You'll Need to Bring:
  • You have 3+ years experience as a direct sales leader/manager, preferably in a high-volume environment
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding renewal targets and revenue objectives
  • Ability to think systematically and operationally, with a focus on identifying and analyzing processes and workflows, to service a large set of customers
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • You have strong empathy for customers and passion for revenue and growth
  • You have a growth mindset and thrive in the building stage of a nascent team
  • You are comfortable with the ambiguity and pace of iteration of an early-stage startup
  • You have experience in hiring and training talent at scale
Nice to Haves:
  • You've built existing business sales playbooks or processes
  • You've been a first or early hire at a fast growing start up before
  • Experience using Salesforce for accurate forecasting
  • Ability to function in a “Player/Coach” capacity as we scale

Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in New York City, the estimated range for total on target earnings (including base salary and on target incentive pay) for this role is $190,000 - $230,000 per year.
