Job Description

To articulate and co-ordinate the delivery of the agricultural segment strategy and value proposition within assigned coverage area of Personal and Business Banking/ the Bank through the provision of a specialist Agricultural Business support service on customer growth, retention and segment profitability.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Set the short, medium and long term startegic objectives for building AgriBusiness within the assigned coverage area
  • Budget setting and Behavioural Goals (New to Bank Sales and Financial) and successful achievement/ delivery of agreed targets for the assigned coverage area 
  • Continuously evaluate relevance and effectiveness of the set Budgets
  • Identify sub-segment opportunities and design value propositions and strategies to effectively service these sub-segments within assigned coverage area
  • Take ownership of all Agri-business Segment new product development and ensure 2 effective management including managing all stakeholders on which such products are dependent 
  • Work with and build relationships with the Agri-business Team and other stake holders to ensure appropriate levels of alignment 
  • Co-ordinate development of suitable AgriBusiness client relationships within assigned coverage area and provide technical support/ advise to Relationship Managers towards monitoring performance and take actions where necessary 
  • Develop good relationship with key regulatory and support institutions like Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigeria Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), Nigerian Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL), Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) and other organizations, identify trends, benchmarks and best practises in AgriBusiness in the respective states within North Central Zone
  • Providing sound technical working partnership with Branch, Regional, Zonal Managers and Commercial/ Enterprise Banking Relationship Managers; to stimulate growth without compromising risk and the quality of lending  Supporting credit in managing and controlling total AgriBusiness risk asset portfolio and client exposure

Qualifications

Type of Qualification: First Degree
Field of Study: Physical Sciences and all courses under Social Sciences (ACCA or ACA or master's would be an added advantage).

Experience Required

  • At least 7 - 10 years experience is required in SME/ Enterprise and Commercial type of businesses
  • At least 1-2 years experience in MS Office Applications
