Job Description:

Disney is seeking a highly organized Manager, Project Management, Video Podcasts to develop, implement, and maintain best practices for production schedules and timelines, asset creation, and inter-department collaboration. This role supports a high-volume slate of approximately 15 podcast series per year. The Manager works closely with teams across Hulu, Disney Branded Television, ABC, Marvel, and more. The Manager sits at the center of the company’s podcast productions, leading orchestration of workflows with other team members, including the Senior Producer and Creative Director.

Responsibilities

  • Create processes that improve efficiency, keep costs down, and save resources and implement them to scale.

  • Connect dots between teams and new verticals/ forecast obstacles and problem solve.

  • Long lead planning of podcast post schedules.

  • Manage post schedules with input from production, strategy, creative, finishing, mastering, and localization teams.

  • Keep everyone on task and on deadline with weekly syncs, status updates, etc.

  • Organize best practice guidelines across legal, design & brand systems, strategy, and creative to inform podcast franchise consistency.

  • Handle creative/post contracts & invoices with vendors.

  • Support Senior Producer with:

    • Facilitating graphics, VO scripts.

    • Securing pre-release episodes for talent prior to shoot, and editable episodes to vendor.

    • Tracking approvals & feedback.

    • QCing episodes for brand continuity, graphics & tech errors, etc.

    • Oversee trafficking of masters and final episodes/marketing assets to various teams & platforms.

    • Mastering & QC.

    • Localization.

    • On channel ingest.

    • On channel showpage creation & deliverables.

    • YouTube episodes.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience project managing video-driven content such as podcasts, talk shows, digital series, or unscripted formats.

  • Demonstrated experience tracking podcast production from conception to launch.

  • Ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional partners.

  • Strong understanding of pre-production and post-production workflows, including scope of work creation, vendor contracting, mastering, QC-ing, and finishing.

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to navigate multiple shows simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience project managing video podcasts or longform interview-driven content.

  • Familiarity with the Disney ecosystem (Hulu, DBT, Marvel, FX, Nat Geo).

  • Experience working across departments and teams.

  • Proven ability to maintain high organizational standards.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $95,500 to $128,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
