Janux Therapeutics is seeking a highly organized and proactive Manager, Project Management Operations, to support our expanding portfolio of oncology and autoimmune programs. This individual will serve as a key operational partner to the Program Management and Clinical Operations organizations by driving project planning, maintaining integrated development timelines, and leading the implementation and optimization of Smartsheet across cross-functional teams.


The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in project management systems, particularly Smartsheet, with hands-on experience supporting oncology and autoimmune drug development programs through critical milestones, including IND submissions and early clinical development. This role offers an opportunity to help establish scalable project management infrastructure while contributing directly to the advancement of innovative therapies for patients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Smartsheet Implementation & Administration

    • Serve as the internal Smartsheet subject matter expert and primary administrator.
    • Lead implementation, configuration, and optimization of Smartsheet across Program Management, Clinical Operations, CMC, and other development functions.
    • Design, build, and maintain project plan templates, dashboards, reports, and automated workflows.
    • Drive standardization of project planning processes and reporting methodologies across programs.
    • Design, build, and optimize automated reporting systems for program and clinical study metrics, improving data accuracy, visibility, and operational efficiency
    • Provide training, support, and best practices to end users throughout the organization.
    • Project Planning & Timeline Management

      • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve integrated cross-functional project plans supporting programs.
      • Partner with Program Management, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, CMC, Translational Sciences, and other functional teams to ensure project timelines accurately reflect program strategies, deliverables, dependencies, and milestones.
      • Monitor critical path activities, identify schedule risks, and proactively escalate potential timeline impacts.
      • Support planning and execution activities associated with regulatory submissions, including IND-enabling activities and IND submissions.
      • Program Operations Support

        • Support program teams through meeting coordination, action item tracking, risk management, and milestone monitoring.
        • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of project management tools, processes, and governance practices.
        • Provide operational support for candidate nomination, IND planning, and early clinical development activities.
        • Support alliance and partnership activities, as applicable.
        • Other duties as deemed necessary.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in a life sciences, scientific, engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of project management, program operations, clinical operations, regulatory operations, or related experience within biotechnology or pharmaceutical drug development.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting oncology and/or autoimmune development programs.
  • Hands-on experience supporting IND submissions and early-stage drug development programs.
  • Advanced expertise with Smartsheet, including implementation, customization, workflow automation, dashboard creation, and project plan development.
  • Experience building and maintaining integrated cross-functional development timelines.
  • Strong understanding of drug development processes across Regulatory, Clinical Operations, CMC, and Translational functions.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving biotech environment.
