The team leverages deep relationships with our business engagement and engineering counterparts to build cohesive, end-to-end solutions for their clients or users. Responsibilities:
- Experience in managing the end-to-end life cycle of a product
- Manage a team of Product Owners and Product Specialists focused on building out NBCUniversal's Media Asset Management and File Distribution platforms
- Define, rollout and enforce best practices in the areas of requirements capture, story management and end-to-end testing of features
- Measure quality of stories through the agile process keeping focus on acceptance criteria, documentation and operational test cases
- Develop and lead long term vision and strategy across the Product portfolio using cloud native tools and industry standard technology
- Take ownership of the Product & Development reliability metrics for executive review
- Drive process improvements through structured training while upholding a high standard driven though employee scorecards
- Work with client user groups to ensure operational needs are being appropriately met
- Support software development project management, Agile, Scrum, as needed
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience in the technology or media industry
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
- Expertise in the SDLC process, with a focus on scoping, iteration planning, user story and acceptance criteria writing, rollout management
Desired Characteristics:
- Minimum 3+ years product management experience in media, gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams, and managing product roadmaps as well as launches
- At least 4 years of direct client engagement experience
- Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or related field
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience with using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress
- Natural problem solver, who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment and is highly collaborative
- Strong decision-making skills with minimal supervision, leveraging technical expertise to interpret complex problems and deliver optimal solutions.
Additional Requirements:
- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
- Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from one of the following locations: Stamford, CT; Centennial, CO; New York, NY; or Universal City, CA.
