The Enterprise Tooling team maintains a suite of reusable AI/ML tools that empower Capital One developers to rapidly bring models to market and power best-in-class customer experiences.
As a Product Manager on the Enterprise ML Tooling product team, you will be the voice of the customer - data scientists and engineers at Capital One - and identify cutting-edge technologies to help them deliver next-generation capabilities to market. You'll collaborate with a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, and designers to define requirements and drive delivery of high value solutions to the enterprise.
The ideal candidate for this role is familiar with traditional ML techniques and emerging trends in Generative AI. They are equally comfortable discussing technical concepts with engineers and delivering presentations to senior leadership.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and communicate the product vision for key ML and Generative AI capabilities.
  • Prioritize the product backlog to maximize business and customer outcomes.
  • Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication between teams.
  • Maintain a healthy backlog of work and play a critical role in many agile ceremonies.
  • Keep the team unblocked by escalating road-blocks and fast-tracking resolutions.
  • Serve as a critical connection between your customers and your team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in Product Management
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
    • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
    • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • MBA or Master's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile product management
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning lifecycle and Gen AI frontier

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago, IL: $144,000 - $164,400 for Manager, Product Management
McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800 for Manager, Product Management
New York, NY: $172,800 - $197,200 for Manager, Product Management
Richmond, VA: $144,000 - $164,400 for Manager, Product Management
San Francisco, CA: $172,800 - $197,200 for Manager, Product Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
