Job Summary
The Standard is seeking a Manager, Presale Operations (AH) to lead day-to-day operations within the Presale business area. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate responses to RFP and Proposal requests across all Life & Supplemental Health products. You’ll work closely with partners in Underwriting, Actuary, and Sales to coordinate workflows, support proposal development, and maintain high standards of quality and responsiveness.
As Manager, you’ll guide the Presale team through key operational activities—from intake and quoting to testing and peer reviews—while helping implement tools and processes that enhance efficiency. This role focuses on maintaining best practices and supporting a streamlined, consistent approach to presale support. Experience with Life & Supplemental Health products is highly valued.
In addition, you will be responsible for resolving interdepartmental conflicts to ensure timely and accurate proposal responses. You’ll lead talent development efforts and build training programs to support a growing, maturing team. In this role, you will also track & analyze operational data to monitor capacity and output and generate reports on customer trends.

Skills and Background You’ll Need
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred, experience may be considered in lieu of.
- EXPERIENCE: 4+ years of progressively responsible leadership positions, people-leadership is a requirement. Quoting/RFP background or experience managing a complex team is required. Experience specifically with Life & Supplemental Health products is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of process improvement and change management theories & techniques.
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel and Adobe Pro is required.
- Proven experience with data analytics, PowerBI tool is preferred.
- Experience in Salesforce and Workday is preferred.

Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.
Performance guarantees may be applied to roles with highly incentivized compensation plans for a specified period of time to support a new hire’s transition into the sales incentive plan.
Salary Range:
$77,250.00 - $123,500.00Positions will be posted for at least 5 days from original posting date.
