The Manager, Marketing Activation owns the execution of consumer marketing campaigns for one of MGA's Preschool brands, in the United States. This role turns brand strategy into live campaigns: the content, the social calendar, the creator roster, the retail activations, and the performance read that follows.

Preschool is a dual-audience business. The child is the fan; the parent or caregiver is the buyer. The ideal candidate knows how to build content that performs for one while converting the other — and understands the platform and compliance realities of marketing in the kids space.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role. The Manager is expected to be in the work: building the campaign, reviewing the creative, and course-correcting in real time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Execution:
    • Own the planning, execution, and optimization of integrated U.S. marketing campaigns across digital, social, experiential, and retail channels
    • Own the go-to-market plan for every product launch, in lockstep with the Brand and Planning teams' roadmap and launch calendar
    • Lead the development and execution of consumer-facing experiential activations
    • Manage external agency partners and day-to-day campaign budget tracking

  • Content & Channel Strategy:
    • Lead social strategy across Instagram, Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, with a point of view on where the preschool parent audience actually lives
    • Build and steward the creator roster across top Mom and Toy creators; own briefing, negotiation support, and performance review
    • Direct the Creative team /external partners to produce on-brand assets tailored by platform; act as a standard-bearer for creative quality
    • Own the content and social calendar, ensuring continuous engagement between launch moments
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Lead bi-weekly calls with international sales teams, serving as the central point of contact for campaign plans, asset needs, and in-market activation support
    • Partner with Sales and Merchandising to execute U.S. retail activation, ensuring brand consistency in-store and online
    • Partner with the Planning team on product launches, messaging, and consumer insights
    • Partner with Digital Strategy and Media teams on paid media strategy, including paid social and retail media
    • Develop retailer-specific programs that drive engagement and sell-through at top U.S. accounts, and share those programs with global counterparts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer marketing, preferably within the toy, entertainment, or CPG industry.
  • Experience executing multi-channel marketing campaigns with proven success.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, influencer marketing, and content creation.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with experience tracking and reporting on campaign performance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with global toy or entertainment markets.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools like Google Analytics or Sprout Social.
  • Knowledge of children’s digital media regulations, including COPPA compliance.

What We Offer:

  • An opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a globally recognized brand.
  • A collaborative and inclusive workplace environment.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for career advancement in a dynamic organization.

Salary:

$100,000.00 - $125,000.00

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
