The Position:

We are seeking a Manager, Learning & Development to lead the design, delivery, and evolution of a comprehensive global learning strategy that accelerates leadership capability and technical excellence across Veracyte. This role will drive the development of high-impact training programs, champion leadership development initiatives, and build a forward-looking approach to how learning is accessed and experienced across the organization. This is an individual contributor role and will report to the Director, Global Talent and partner closely with HR Business Partners to support career architecture and organizational capability building, while presenting program outcomes to senior leadership. This is a highly visible role requiring strong influence, adaptability, and the ability to wear multiple hats.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a global learning strategy with a strong emphasis on building, delivering, and scaling training programs that enhance leadership and technical capabilities.
  • Lead the design and facilitation of leadership development programs for emerging and experienced leaders across global teams.
  • Create, curate, and continuously improve technical training programs that drive functional excellence.
  • Lead the strategy and execution of organizational learning initiatives that enable a successful AI transformation.
  • Develop a scalable, future-ready approach to learning systems and infrastructure, ensuring employees can easily discover and access high-quality learning resources.
  • Partner with business partners to align learning initiatives with career architecture and competency frameworks.
  • Present program results, insights, and recommendations to executive leadership with clarity and impact.
  • Apply strong facilitation and presentation skills to engage learners at all levels, from individual contributors to executives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify skill gaps and propose innovative training solutions.
  • Manage and enhance the corporate internship program to attract and develop early-career talent.
Who You Are:Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, with at least 2 years in a management level role.
  • Experience designing, implementing, or managing a Learning Management System (LMS), including configuration, content structure, and ongoing administration.
  • Proven experience developing and leading both leadership and technical training programs.
  • Ability to build and scale learning experiences for diverse global audiences.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to executives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and wear multiple hats in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of career architecture and organizational development principles.

  • 25% travel 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the biotech or life sciences industry.
  • Familiarity with competency modeling and succession planning.
  • Background in managing internship or early-career programs.
  • Ability to measure and report program effectiveness using data-driven insights.
  • Experience designing global learning initiatives that center on continuous improvement, and leadership readiness.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience, skillset, geographic location, industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

$115,000$133,000 USD
