Oversee IT management of pharmacy locations, manage IT operations, maintain infrastructure, ensure hardware lifecycle management, and supervise IT Technician.
As the Manager of IT Facilities, you will oversee the IT management of Ro’s flagship pharmacy location in Romeoville, IL and multiple US-based satellite pharmacies. This on-site, hands-on managerial role will encompass maintaining and improving IT infrastructure, ensuring hardware lifecycle management, overseeing break/fix maintenance, and managing asset inventory. This role will also be expected to flex into new and diverse technologies, specifically in inventory, warehousing, production line and building access and automated controls. This role will travel as required, at least annually, to each operating location to baseline site operations and conduct inventory. You will also supervise an IT Technician and contribute to on-call and IT support functions as needed.
This is an in-person role, requiring the applicant to be onsite 5 days per week
What You'll Do:
- Manage onsite IT operations for our flagship pharmacy and multiple US-based facilities, ensuring efficient, secure and resilient infrastructure
- Own the health of the site’s technology infrastructure by proactively monitoring key performance indicators, maintaining dashboards, and reporting on trends, incidents, and opportunities for improvement
- Document and maintain detailed guidelines, processes, and procedures for facilities IT operations
- Oversee hardware lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning
- Lead break/fix maintenance and ensure swift resolution of issues to minimize downtime
- Maintain and monitor asset inventory systems to track and manage IT equipment effectively
- Assist with on-call rotations and pharmacy technology operations to ensure high availability of IT support
- Coordinate with vendors to optimize technology functionality and maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Pharmacy Operations, Security Operations, GRC, and Facilities Management, to align IT initiatives with company goals and enterprise standards.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- 7+ years of experience in IT operations or IT facility management, including support for complex, highly-available, onsite environments such as pharmacies, warehouses, or labs
- Strong knowledge of hardware lifecycle management, asset tracking, and inventory control
- Expertise in endpoint management (Intune for Windows, Jamf for macOS/iOS)
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring junior team members
- Proven history of IT automation experience (Python, Bash, Powershell, etc)
- A curiosity and fervor for new technologies and challenges
- Proficiency in managing IT environments within a regulated industry is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
