The Manager of Internal Audit will be responsible for supporting or working independently on audits of a specific business/ functional area/ region and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to risks within those business areas. Reporting to the Senior Director of Internal Audit, this role will support the planning, execution and reporting of financial (including SOX), operational, and compliance internal audits. This position will perform assigned audit tasks and conduct independent audits of internal controls, financial records and operations, for compliance with the Company's internal policies, and certain laws and regulations. The manager will also assist in the development of annual audit plan and executing the overall strategic objectives to evolve and build a more innovative and data focused internal audit function.

  • Execute the company-wide internal audit and financial compliance program aimed at assessing accounting and operating procedures and ensure compliance with the Company's internal policies
  • Execute SOX compliance testing, thorough evaluating internal controls, identify control and operational weaknesses, and recommend procedures to improve business practices and policies.
  • Engage and develop effective working relationships to support cooperative responses to risk and control matters and issues, including coordinating with co-sourced resources
  • Communicate the results of internal audit reviews with GRAA management and support reporting to relevant stakeholders and Senior Leaders
  • Support GRAA management by executing operational audits per the Audit Plan approved annually by the Audit Committee
  • Perform project management duties of the IA department including, but are not limited to budgeting, planning and scheduling
  • Support GRAA leadership in deploying data analytics and AI innovative audits, while project managing plan to build AI into the future of auditing at Tapestry.
  • Support GRAA QAIP internal self-assessment program and establish monitoring and program support to ensure team is in compliance with IA Charter and IIA standards.
  • Support Corrective Action Log (CAL) Follow-up for operational audits to ensure timely remediation of audit observations and reporting open items to the Audit Committee.

The accomplished individual will possess...
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA or equivalent required, or working to obtain certification
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the Accounting and Internal Auditing field
  • Big Four auditing experience and/or Retail industry specialization preferred
  • Project management skills - effective consultation, interpersonal, prioritization of topics/issues and organization
  • Background and experience with audit methodologies and techniques
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding/knowledge of US GAAP; and Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Focus on data analytics and machine learning /AI fundamentals
