Roles and Responsibilities:

We have a fast-growing team of dedicated consultants with deep experience from both industry and consulting backgrounds. Successful candidates can expect exposure to a wide range of complex and strategic engagements across the Life and Annuities insurance market, including work with traditional carriers, mutual insurers, and retirement-focused organizations.

As we continue to expand our client base and capabilities, we are seeking Managers to join our team and support our growth journey.

As a Manager, you will be responsible for: 

  • Independently managing client engagements from project design through delivery, ensuring strong client satisfaction
  • Supporting the development of strategies that help life and annuities carriers achieve their business, operational, and regulatory objectives
  • Delivering high-quality work products within agreed timelines and budgets
  • Analyzing client business needs to identify issues, opportunities, and practical solutions
  • Monitoring project progress, managing risks, and keeping key stakeholders informed of outcomes
  • Coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders across business, operations, technology, actuarial, and finance functions
  • Managing and motivating junior team members and supporting their professional development
  • Building and maintaining long-term client relationships and professional networks
  • Supporting client and vendor relationship-building activities
  • Clearly articulating Alpha’s capabilities and credentials within the life and annuities space
  • Staying current on industry trends impacting life and annuities carriers, including retirement solutions, regulatory change, and technology modernization
  • Contributing to business development initiatives and practice growth
  • Supporting effective account management, including financial tracking and forecasting

We want to hear from people with: 

  • 5+ years of proven experience delivering consulting or change initiatives within life and annuities carriers, retirement providers, or consulting firms serving the insurance sector
  • Experience with “blue-chip” consulting firms and/or direct industry experience within life insurance, annuities, or retirement services
  • Experience working on Target Operating Model, business process, and/or technology-enabled transformation initiatives across areas such as: Product development and management (Life and Annuities), sales, marketing, and distribution (career, independent, broker-dealer, and digital channels), new business and underwriting, policy administration systems (PAS), operations, servicing, and in-force management, and data, reporting, and analytics
  • Exposure to business development or account management activities, with interest in contributing to practice growth
  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with confidence in structuring and articulating complex topics
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • A desire to mentor and coach junior team members
  • Familiarity with key themes and challenges in the life and annuities insurance sector

Compensation and Perks:

As part of the Alpha team, you will be rewarded with the following:

There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to - skill sets, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the range is $130,000 to $170,000 subject to change based on salary benchmarking. In addition to this salary, employees would be eligible for both variable and non-variable benefits.
