We are seeking a driven Business Development - Growth Insights and Analytics Manager supporting our Lending and Credit Businesses (including Personal Loans, Credit Cards, Banking, and more). This individual will play a critical role in driving business growth through data-driven insights, strategic recommendations, and analytics that support the Business Development team. You’ll help shape and optimize NerdWallet’s positioning and value proposition with financial service providers, while enabling the team to identify and execute on high-impact growth opportunities.

As the Business Development & Growth Analytics Manager, you will own the development of a key growth function—delivering analytical support, performance insights, and strategic frameworks to guide our partnership initiatives. Reporting to the Head of BD, you will partner closely with BD leadership to shape strategy for Lending and Credit Businesses, inform partnership decisions with rigorous analysis, and provide actionable recommendations that drive sustainable business growth.

This role is a blend of growth marketing, analytics, and business development strategy. You’ll collaborate with BD partners, category General Managers, Marketing, Product, Analytics, and Finance teams to size opportunities, optimize performance, and develop defensible, data-backed strategies.

Where you can make an impact:
  • Provide data and analytical support to the Business Development team, delivering insights that guide strategic decisions and partnership initiatives

  • Develop and communicate growth strategies that strengthen NerdWallet’s relationships with existing and prospective partners

  • Conduct opportunity sizing, business case development, and performance analysis to drive short- and long-term revenue growth

  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Product, Finance, Analytics, & GMs) to design and execute initiatives that improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Define and implement measurement frameworks and reporting standards to track performance and identify optimization opportunities

  • Provide strategic recommendations that balance partner needs, NerdWallet objectives, and overall market dynamics

You are:
  • Analytical and results-oriented: Skilled at identifying key business drivers, conducting rigorous analysis, and translating insights into actionable strategies

  • Strategic and methodical: Able to take a holistic view, prioritize high-impact opportunities, and build frameworks that guide business growth

  • Data-driven problem solver: Comfortable leveraging data and analytical tools to drive decision-making in ambiguous environments

  • Strong communicator and influencer: Capable of crafting compelling narratives for partners, executives, and cross-functional teams

  • Organized and productive: Adept at managing multiple priorities while coordinating across stakeholders

  • Entrepreneurial: Excited to build new capabilities, tackle challenges, and help evolve a critical growth function

Your experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in analytics, growth marketing, business development, or strategic partnerships with a proven track record of delivering business results

  • Expert-level SQL skills and strong proficiency in Tableau (or similar BI tools), with the ability to build complex queries, create dashboards, and deliver actionable insights

  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to drive growth strategies and partnership outcomes

  • Experience working in digital affiliates, online consumer acquisition, or financial services businesses

  • Strong understanding of lending and credit business models, products, and strategies

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both internally and externally

  • Intellectual curiosity and the desire to become an expert in financial services and growth strategy
