The Role:

As the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you will analyze the financial performance of the business, establish monthly financial forecast, budgetary goals, aid in business decision support and strategy, partner cross-functionally to deliver value, and provide recommendations on profit, expense, and cost saving opportunities. You will leverage your comprehensive understanding of all key business drivers and experience developing detailed financial models that deliver insightful, value-added analysis. You will also partner with the Finance Team to build our FP&A tools, processes, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee updates to the financial forecast in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Develop calendar of activities and help train existing team members in FP&A best practices
  • Prepare annual plan in conjunction with input from all departments; ensure that input has been documented and properly included.
  • Ensure all budgeted expenses are adequately documented and supported, properly calendarized and in line with the company’s overall strategic plans.
  • Work with department heads to ensure budgeted goals are met; oversee budget revisions and ensure communication to department heads.
  • Identify and call out weekly issues affecting the Company’s operations, profitability, and inventory position.
  • Supervise the creation of monthly crate sales plans.
  • Establish models that provide information on the Company's current operating trend.
  • Provide financial analysis for relevant issues that could impact the business.
  • Manage the department reporting to support business needs.
  • Manage department deliverables, provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff members through effective goal setting (YOs), performance management, and professional development.
  • Create a service oriented environment to meet the needs of internal/external customers.
  • Recommend improvements and develops strategies to improve overall department effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
    • Experience with the Retail Industry, Supply-Chain, e-Commerce and/or Operations
    • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A
    • Experience building out Financial Performance Management Systems
    • Highly organized and efficient
    • Extensive knowledge of MS Excel and database skills
    • Demonstrated analytical proficiency in data research and interpretation
    • Strong communication skills including the ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator
    • Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure.
