The UCAN MarComms Financial Planning & Analysis team is looking for a skilled manager to support the Scripted Series, Nonfiction, Live Marketing, Live & Ad Events, and Corporate Events teams. In this role, you will drive financial planning, deliver strategic insights, and collaborate cross-functionally to enable growth and operational excellence within the UCAN Marketing organization. You will also serve as a key business partner to the UCAN Marketing leadership team, playing an integral role in supporting their strategic objectives. 

You will need to be a big-picture thinker, a self-starter, and an analytical thought partner with an eye for detail. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, and embrace ambiguity and change. You must be a solutions-oriented problem solver and be able to communicate complex ideas using both qualitative and quantitative means to a broad spectrum of stakeholders. The position is based in Los Angeles and will report to the leader of the UCAN MarComms FP&A team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading annual budget planning for Scripted Series, Nonfiction, Live Marketing, Live & Ad Events, and Corporate Events

  • Leading headcount and people cost planning and management, partnering closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, and stakeholders

  • Assessing Marketing support needs for Live Content opportunities during early deal stages

  • Developing and scale Live Marketing framework and ways of working with regional Marketing Finance & Strategy partners

  • Overseeing in-year budget management, partnering with stakeholders to reflect latest business assumptions

  • Managing preparation and submission of corporate forecast deliverables

  • Creating and deliver management-level reporting on in-year budget position

  • Conducting financial scenario analyses to support informed decision-making

  • Facilitating retrospective investment reviews with stakeholders to inform future strategy

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates are required to be highly analytical & strategic and be strong, effective communicators

  • A sound understanding of core Marketing principles and related accounting guidance and is preferred

  • Must display initiative in anticipating and exceeding the business demands of senior-level executives; must thrive in a fast-paced environment and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics  

  • Netflix is fast-growing with a flat organizational structure, which means that employees are often asked to perform tasks with a range of difficulties; candidate must be motivated, disciplined, flexible, and be able to work effectively autonomously

  • Candidates with prior experience with and a passion for the entertainment space and Marketing will be prioritized

  • Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of delivering superior financial and strategic analysis, along with actionable recommendations that drive business results

REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years of directly relevant FP&A experience, ideally including Marketing finance

  • Extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analyses

  • Experience supporting multiple VP-level stakeholders

  • Must have proficiency working with systems and automated reporting tools (i.e., Oracle, Anaplan, Workday financials, etc.). Financial systems implementation experience is a plus

  • Superior proficiency with Excel and complex financial modeling

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • 4-year degree in a relevant field with strong academic performance, MBA a plus

  • Genuine passion and excitement for Netflix’s unique culture.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $160,000 - $470,000.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits, including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs.  Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
