Why Outreach?
Outreach is at the forefront of AI-powered selling. This role is critical to helping customers realize the power of AI Agents—not as standalone tools, but as deeply embedded copilots that transform how revenue teams work. You’ll be building the future, one deployment and pilot at a time.
About the Role
Outreach is redefining the future of go-to-market teams through Agentic AI—AI Agents that act as co-pilots across sales workflows, from pipeline development, account research, conversational intelligence to deal execution and forecasting.
We're looking for a Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) to build and lead our AI deployment team. This leader will set the strategic vision for how Outreach’s AI Agents are implemented, adopted, and scaled across our customer base. You’ll be a player-coach—able to both drive the big picture and jump into the details—working alongside customers, engineers, product teams, and go-to-market stakeholders.

- Lead a High-Impact Team of FDEs Recruit, mentor, and inspire a team of forward-deployed engineers focused on implementation, customer success, and repeatable success patterns.
- Drive AI Agent Adoption & Outcomes Align closely with Product, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure our AI Agents are driving real outcomes, are deeply embedded into daily workflows, and are evolving based on market needs.
- Develop AI Best Practices & Methodologies Lead the development of playbooks, deployment templates, and documentation standards to ensure consistent delivery, repeatability, and scale.

- Evangelize AI Internally and Externally Be a visible thought leader across the company and with strategic customers—helping to bridge the gap between AI potential and business impact.
Who You Are
- A visionary leader with hands-on technical depth and GTM process fluency
- A strong communicator with executive presence, able to represent Outreach with customers and internal leaders alike
- Deeply curious and collaborative, with a bias for action and high ownership
- Passionate and knowledgeable about Agentic AI and its potential to enhance human performance, not replace it
- A builder who thrives in ambiguity, and knows how to scale what works
Qualifications
- 9+ years in customer-facing technical roles (e.g., Professional Services, FDE, Solutions Architecture), with 3+ years in a leadership capacity
- Proven experience deploying AI, automation, or LLM-powered technologies in enterprise settings
- Strong understanding of modern GTM workflows (Sales, SDR, RevOps, Enablement)
- Experience designing or deploying AI copilots, agents, or workflow-integrated ML systems
- Functional familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering or related tooling
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and guide change in complex environments
