They build scalable processes, use data to manage performance, develop talent, and align cross-functional partners around the highest-impact opportunities for Motive Card and related financial products.

What You'll Do:

  • Translate business strategy into clear segment-level motions for onboarding, enablement, adoption, retention, and expansion.
  • Establish the right balance of standardized processes and segment-specific execution, ensuring teams can scale without losing customer focus.

  • Lead, coach, and develop the managers and team members across all three Financial Products teams.
  • Set clear expectations for customer ownership, execution quality, productivity, collaboration, and commercial impact.
  • Build a strong performance-management culture through regular one-on-ones, business reviews, coaching, feedback, and development planning.
  • Hire, onboard, and retain high-performing talent while creating clear career paths and opportunities for growth.
  • Develop consistent training, playbooks, and best practices that improve execution across teams and reduce dependency on individual expertise.
  • Recognize strong performance and address performance gaps directly, fairly, and promptly.
  • Define the scorecard and reporting cadence for the Financial Products organization, including onboarding volume, time to launch, activation, adoption, spend, satisfaction, productivity, and quality.
  • Build and maintain accurate dashboards and reporting that support weekly execution, monthly business reviews, and quarterly planning.
  • Use data to diagnose performance trends, allocate capacity, identify risks, and make decisions about process and resource investments.
What We're Looking For:
  • 7+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, SaaS, client onboarding, customer success, sales, operations, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams, including experience managing managers or leading through other leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to own a multi-team operating plan and deliver measurable business results.
  • Experience building scalable processes for complex customer onboarding, implementation, enablement, or product adoption.
  • Strong business judgment and analytical skills, with the ability to connect operating metrics to customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Risk, Support, and Operations teams.
  • Experience using Salesforce and business reporting tools to manage performance, pipeline, account activity, and customer outcomes.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
