About the Role:

CrowdStrike is seeking a Manager of Federal Civilian Sales Engineering to lead and grow a high-performing team of Sales Engineers supporting our U.S. Federal Civilian business. This is a senior leadership role responsible for guiding technical pre-sales efforts, mentoring engineering talent, and driving solution alignment across a portfolio of federal customers. The manager will work closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Threat Intelligence teams to ensure our platform aligns with federal mission requirements, acquisition strategies, and compliance frameworks.

Success in this role requires a strong mix of technical depth, public sector experience, and people leadership. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of the federal market, a track record of leading a technical team, and the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do:
You should be able to articulate how current security solutions are designed and deployed, and why they are failing. You will lead a team of Enterprise Sales Engineers who are responsible for changing what the security market and customers believe is possible with a next-generation endpoint technology.

  • Experienced in endpoint or network security space – AV, EDR, incident response, forensics, SIEM, firewall, HIPS/IDS, etc.

  • Strong understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems

  • Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently

  • Can work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Support, and Engineering; the Sales Engineer should be the technical bridge between CrowdStrike and prospects/customers

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including C-level executives

  • Extensive contacts in the information security field and strong references

What You'll Need:

  • Experienced in endpoint or network security space – AV, EDR, incident response, forensics, SIEM, firewall, HIPS/IDS, etc.

  • Strong understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems

  • Can easily articulate complex security problems to a set of audiences

  • Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently

  • Can work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Support, and Engineering; the SE Manager should be the technical bridge between CrowdStrike and prospects/customers for any escalations / feedback

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including C-level executives

  • Extensive contacts in the information security field and strong references

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field

  • Prior experience leading Federal Civilian Sales Engineering teams

  • CJIS clearance

  • Strong technical aptitude

  • Sales engineering background or 3+ years of relevant work experience

  • Ability to travel as required

Nice To Have:

  • Experience with security products

  • Experience with SaaS-based security offerings

  • Experience with malware, threat intelligence, and/or sandbox analysis

  • Experience with programming or scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash

  • Experience with virtualization/VDI technologies

  • Experience with large scale cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.

  • Understanding of the OSI model

  • Understanding of FedRAMP and Impact Level (IL) frameworks

  • Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, and SANS

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $135,000 - $205,000 per year, with eligibility for commissions, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
