Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

The Advertising team is charged with building a new, best-in-class Ads organization to establish Netflix as the premiere platform for advertiser partners, and to drive advertising revenue.  We are seeking a selfless, curious, and passionate individual contributor Manager to join our Ads Finance & Strategy (F&S) team. In this role you will partner cross-functionally across the organization to understand our target customer base, help develop our value proposition to be compelling to our customers, and find opportunities to grow this new business for Netflix over the long-term. You will work closely with a highly cross-functional, global team, and contribute to one of the most impactful transitions Netflix has made in a decade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Modeling & Analysis:

    • Build models to estimate the ads revenue potential of new content and growth initiatives (Live, podcast, etc), including commercial and sponsorship packaging and pricing

    • Gather inputs internally via subject matter experts and externally via market research to build the assumptions for commercial strategy and to substantiate valuation

  • Strategic Analysis & Planning:

    • Proactively develop a clear ads perspective on monetization strategy for new initiatives

    • Support our Product team in sizing and prioritizing different capabilities for ads monetization

    • Support the overall revenue forecasting of mature initiatives (Live), which will include building and maintaining our assumptions across our long term slate. Serve as the global lead by coordinating with regional teams for input

    • Conduct post-mortems on Live events that have launched to refine our approach and assumptions on Live valuations going forward

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Content, Ads (Market Activation, Sale leaders), and Product to model ads revenue

    • Support the go-to-market planning once deals have been greenlit, partnering with additional teams in Ads (Measurement, Business Operations, Marketing Planning & Operations, Revenue & Yield Analytics)

    • Support the expansion of our strategy in ex-US markets, collaborating with our regional Finance & Strategy counterparts to share guiding principles and best practices

    • Prepare and deliver clear, concise analysis & presentations for stakeholders in various forums

  • Project Management & Execution:

    • Ability to work under tight timelines

    • A strong attention to detail, with the ability to discern when to use an 80/20 approach

What we’re looking for:

  • 6+ years of experience in management consulting, go-to-market strategy, investment banking, or similar analytical roles. Knowledge of advertising and/or content licensing is highly preferred.

  • Extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis. Strong data modeling skills. Proficiency in data manipulation and visualization tools (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.) with the ability to clearly communicate key findings to senior stakeholders.

  • Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, always changing environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely and distill a high volume of information into key insights. Ability to prepare and deliver impactful presentations.

  • A good fit with our culture of excellence and curiosity, with proactive attitude and strong ability to build cross-functional relationships.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
