This role is responsible for creating clear, engaging, and instructionally sound training resources—including videos, overviews, and implementation guides—that enable educators to adopt and use our products with minimal direct support. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in instructional design, a sharp eye for content quality, and the ability to translate complex systems into intuitive, educator-friendly materials.

Key Responsibilities

Educator Training & Content Development

  • Design and produce high-quality training materials, including:
  • Short-form instructional videos
  • One-pagers and quick-start guides
  • Implementation and onboarding resources
  • Ensure all materials are clear, engaging, and usable without live facilitation
  • Establish templates and standards for scalable, consistent training content
  • Identify opportunities to streamline onboarding and reduce support burden
  • Iterate on materials based on educator feedback and implementation data
  • Build a scalable library of training resources that supports growth across partners

Educator Enablement & Support

  • Serve as a resource for customers on how to best implement our curriculum, during implementation and throughout the customer journey as needed.
  • Translate customer needs and challenges into improved training materials
  • Collaborate with Partner Success and Product teams to identify gaps in educator support
  • Acts as the voice of the educator, translating implementation challenges into product and experience improvements

Instructional Design

  • Apply best practices in instructional design to support adult learners (educators and faculty)
  • Structure content to reduce cognitive load and support independent use
  • Align materials to real classroom and implementation contexts
  • Ensure accessibility and usability across all materials (WCAG-aligned)

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of experience in instructional design, educator enablement, or curriculum development, with a track record of building scalable training solutions in complex environments
  • Proven experience designing and delivering high-impact, educator-facing materials across K–12 and/or higher education, with demonstrated adoption and effectiveness
  • Exceptional content development capabilities across video, written, and visual formats, with technical expertise and a strong eye for quality, clarity, and engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex products or systems into intuitive, actionable guidance that enables independent use at scale
  • Deep, hands-on experience with LMS platforms (e.g., Canvas), including designing content for seamless integration into educator workflows
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence partnering directly with educators, faculty, and cross-functional teams to drive outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in customer education, onboarding, or implementation support
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)
  • Experience working in edtech or product-driven environments
  • Basic video editing and content production skills

Benefits
    • Compensation: $80,000- $90,000 per annum (DOE)
    • Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP)
    • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, & Vision Plans
    • Employee Assistance Program, Talkspace and One Medical membership to support the health & well-being of our team
    • Generous Paid Parental Leave
    • Open Paid Time Off

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
