Description

Who We Are

SWTCH is pioneering EV charging solutions for multifamily and commercial properties across North America. Since 2016, our team of entrepreneurs, energy professionals, and technologists has been focused on unlocking the social, economic, and environmental benefits of widespread EV adoption. Today, our solutions are deployed in tens of thousands of locations —many of which are low-to-moderate income housing—helping to make clean mobility accessible for all.

With an expanding footprint across Canada and the U.S., we’re scaling quickly and looking for mission-driven talent to help accelerate our growth.

Job Opportunity

We’re seeking a Manager of Demand Generation to power SWTCH’s next stage of growth. You’ll own the strategy and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns designed to generate, nurture, and convert high-quality leads. This is a pivotal role focused on building scalable marketing programs that directly support revenue growth. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position is based in Canada. This is a remote position, with a strong preference towards candidates who can work onsite at our Toronto headquarters with a regular cadence. Travel is required for this role for event management duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Development
Plan, create, and execute integrated marketing campaigns to generate high-quality leads. Utilize various channels, including digital marketing, content marketing, email marketing, social media, webinars, and events to drive demand.
  • Lead Generation & Nurturing
Partner with Sales to define ideal customer profiles, develop strategies to attract and engage prospects, and implement lead scoring and nurture flows to drive conversions.
  • Marketing Automation
Utilize Salesforce’s Marketing Automation platform to streamline lead management, email marketing, and reporting. Build and refine drip campaigns and audience segments to deliver personalized content.
  • Campaign Analytics & Optimization
Monitor, measure, and report on campaign performance using marketing analytics tools. Use data-driven insights to refine strategy and improve conversion rates and ROI.
  • Event Strategy & Execution
Own SWTCH’s event portfolio — including industry trade shows, conferences, and hosted events — ensuring strategic alignment, brand visibility, and measurable outcomes. Travel is required to work various events across North America throughout the year.
  • Content Strategy & Collaboration
Collaborate with the Manager of Marketing Communications to produce relevant content for every stage of the funnel — blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, webinars, infographics, and more.
Requirements
  • 3–5+ years of experience in demand generation, digital marketing, or growth marketing — ideally in B2B tech, cleantech, or sustainability sectors
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Track record of building and executing marketing programs that drive pipeline and revenue
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for crafting compelling marketing content and messaging
  • Proficiency with marketing tools and platforms, including Salesforce, Pardot (or equivalents), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot)
  • Proficiency in managing digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and paid advertising.
  • Experience planning and managing events, industry tradeshow experience is an asset.
  • Native in various AI tools to bring efficiency to every project will be critical to success.
  • Analytical mindset — able to turn data into insights and action
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fully remote team
  • Knowledge of the electric vehicle (EV) industry, EV charging, sustainable energy, or related technical areas is a plus.
  • Passion for sustainability and SWTCH’s mission

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
