Job Description:

About the Role:


We are seeking a Manager, Customer Business to join our sales organization in a remote role based in Texas, California, or Washington. This role is accountable for overall customer performance, forecast accuracy, and achievement of annual revenue and margin goals. The Manager, Customer Business, manages customer relationships, supports customer-supplier scorecard performance, and partners cross-functionally to resolve issues, identify growth opportunities, and execute sales and pricing initiatives.


You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:


  • Maintain strong customer relationships and serve as the primary TreeHouse Foods point of contact for assigned customers.
  • Manage customer communication, reactions, and expectations.
  • Resolve customer issues in partnership with Customer Service and Customer Supply Chain.
  • Gather customer feedback and provide insights and recommendations to the business unit.
  • Sell the customer-specific value proposition and execute division selling and pricing initiatives.
  • Represent the customer to business unit teams to develop short- and long-term business opportunities.
  • Deliver forecast accuracy and support demand planning inputs.
  • Account for accurate demand plans and inputs into planning tools, address gaps to the customer's annual strategic plan, and develop customer annual operating plans with Commercial Finance.
  • Work with Customer Service, Customer Supply Chain, and Sales Leadership to limit allocation risk.
  • Monitor the customer book of business and analyze whitespace opportunities to address core SKU voids.

Important Details:
 

  • This is a full-time, remote role based in Texas, California, or Washington.
  • Travel 20-60% is required.
  • The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $101,600 to $152,400 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay.

You’ll fit right in if you have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of business experience in sales or a related field is required.
  • Retail grocery channel experience is required.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • Effective relationship-building skills are required.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use data to drive product and pricing strategies and understand impacts on production forecasts, are required.
  • Solid financial acumen, including understanding of P&L and pricing implications to optimize bid strategies and trade funding, is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Circana Unify+, business intelligence tools, ERP systems, and SharePoint is preferred.
  • Strong management, problem-solving, multitasking, prioritization, and stakeholder communication skills are required.
