As the Manager, Creative Technology, you’ll lead a high-impact team of applied researchers and creative technologists. This team is Stability AI’s biggest value proposition to our customers; they are responsible for creating customized, brand-compliant workflows that bridge the gap between frontier AI research and enterprise-scale production. You will also work with a wide variety of clients to deliver the latest data science and big data technologies.

What you’ll do…
  • Team Leadership: Coach and mentor a growing team of creative technologists and foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning and improvement to keep the deployed workflows differentiated from competition. Own and guide data processing, fine tuning and evaluation strategies, and reinforcement learning to improve decision quality.
  • Technical Excellence: Serve as the "go-to" person for technical problem-solving, driving delivery excellence by establishing nimble processes for version control, environment setup, maintenance and upgrade, CI/CD pipelines, agile release trains. Particularly regarding enterprise-grade workflows and frontier model implementation.
  • Product Innovation: Drive productivity and scale by creating user-friendly workflows (e.g., ComfyUI) that can be integrated into the core product.
  • Business Growth: Partner with Sales to address customer challenges and develop new revenue models for deploying technology at scale.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Engineering and PMs to productize workflows, estimate compute costs and credit consumption per generation. Also work with Marketing to articulate the value of these technologies to the market.
What you’ll bring…
  • 2-3 years of experience managing technical teams.
  • Proven experience working within creative agencies or system integrators (e.g. Accenture Song, Code and Theory, BCG X).
  • Machine Learning (ML) background with deep expertise in frontier models (Image, Video, Audio).
  • Expert-level experience in ComfyUI and building automated creative workflows.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, actionable terms for clients and internal stakeholders.
Not dealbreakers, but great if you had…
  • Experience with LLMs and 3D generation.
  • Prior experience in customer-facing roles or technical sales.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise requirements, including compliance, governance, and security.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
