Who we are

Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision technology to enable frictionless, checkout-free experiences in the real world. Today, we are reimagining parking to enable millions of consumers to just "drive in and drive out." We envision a future where people transact in the real world with a speed, ease and convenience that is unparalleled, even online. Tomorrow, we will power checkout-free experiences anywhere you go to make the everyday experiences of living, working and playing remarkable - giving us back our most valuable asset, time.

Who you are

Metropolis is seeking a Manager, Corporate FP&A to lead the orchestration of our corporate reporting cycle and the compilation, validation, and communication of global financial results. You will own the "last mile" of finance, taking raw data from various business units and refining it into a clear, unified narrative for executive leadership. You are a process-oriented leader who ensures seamless hand-offs between accounting and FP&A to deliver accurate, consistent, and strategic reporting outputs.

What you'll do
  • Design and manage the Corporate Reporting Calendar, coordinating timelines across global business units, accounting, and tax to ensure a synchronized close
  • Standardize reporting templates and submission protocols to ensure one version of the truth across the enterprise
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Controllership and FP&A teams to reconcile management reporting with statutory filings
  • Aggregate inputs from multiple P&L owners into a consolidated corporate view, ensuring all intercompany eliminations and corporate adjustments are accurately reflected
  • Perform high-level integrity checks on consolidated data to identify anomalies before results reach the CFO
  • Manage the Bridge analysis, explaining the drivers of variance between Actuals, Budgets, and prior Forecasts at an enterprise level
  • Lead the assembly of the Monthly Executive Reporting Package and Board of Directors presentations
  • Synthesize qualitative commentary from various departments into a concise summary of business performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Partner with Investor Relations to provide data and context for earnings call preparation and external guidance
  • Evaluate the current reporting workflow to identify bottlenecks and implement lean finance practices to shorten the reporting cycle; define and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the consolidation process to ensure business continuity and scalability
What we're looking for
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Corporate FP&A, with a heavy emphasis on multi-entity consolidation and management reporting
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder workflows under tight deadlines
  • Take vast amounts of data and extract the most important takeaways for an executive audience
  • A "perfectionist" approach to data—ensuring that every total, sub-total, and footnote ties out perfectly across all decks
  • Exceptional written communication skills for drafting executive summaries and board-level commentary

When you join Metropolis, you'll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows. The anticipated base salary for this position is $135,000.00 USD to $155,000.00 USD annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis' total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more. #LI-WT1 #LI-Onsite

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
