POSITION SUMMARY
Commercial Operations plays a key role in driving execution across Mirum’s marketed products and future launch planning. This individual will partner cross-functionally to translate commercial strategy into actionable plans, ensuring disciplined execution in a fast-growing, mission-driven organization.
This role offers broad exposure across brand strategy, market access, field execution, systems, and launch readiness, making it ideal for a highly motivated professional seeking to deepen their understanding of how commercial pharmaceutical organizations scale and operate.
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Hands-On Commercial Project Management
- Independently manage multiple cross-functional commercial projects supporting marketed products and launch readiness activities
- Translate commercial priorities into clear, executable project plans with realistic timelines and defined ownership
- Actively track progress, risks, and dependencies, stepping in to unblock issues and keep work moving forward
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as a practical, trusted partner to Marketing, Market Access, Sales, IT, Finance, and Legal/Compliance
- Facilitate efficient meetings that drive decisions, clarity, and accountability — not just updates
- Provide clear, concise status updates and escalate issues with recommended options
Simple Tools & Scalable Ways of Working
- Use lightweight project management tools and templates that fit a small, fast-moving organization
- Bring structure where it adds value and flexibility where it matters
- Help create consistency across commercial initiatives without adding unnecessary process
Vendor & External Partner Coordination
- Coordinate timelines and deliverables with external vendors and agencies as part of broader project teams
- Track key milestones and support budget awareness in partnership with project owners
Operational Follow-Through
- Ensure project outputs are transitioned smoothly to business owners and embedded into day-to-day operations
- Support change management and adoption for new tools, processes, or commercial capabilities
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve execution, communication, and cross-functional alignment
- Capture and apply lessons learned to strengthen future commercial and launch initiatives
Growth & Development Opportunity
- Gain broad exposure to commercial strategy, launch execution, and cross-functional leadership in a scaling biotech organization
- Develop strong enterprise perspective through collaboration with senior commercial and cross-functional leaders
- Contribute to the evolution of scalable project management capabilities within Commercial Operations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years of relevant project management or operations experience, preferably within commercial, marketing, or operational functions
- Experience managing cross-functional projects in a regulated or matrixed environment (pharma, biotech, medical device, or similar strongly preferred)
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a lean, fast-paced organization
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex work into clear, actionable updates
Preferred
- Advanced degree (PharmD,MBA, MPH, MS, or similar) strongly valued
- Demonstrated interest in commercial strategy, launch excellence, or operational scaling within biopharma
- Experience in consulting, biotech, pharma, or healthcare-related industries
- Experience supporting product launches or major commercial initiatives
- Exposure to commercial operations, brand marketing, market access, sales operations, or related functions
- Familiarity with common project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, Monday.com, or similar)
- Comfort working with ambiguity and evolving priorities

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $155,000 USD. Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to; skill set, years of experience, and the employee’s geographic location. Please note that the required compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits unless otherwise provided.
