The Manager of Category Insights plays an important role in shaping Red Bull’s understanding of the beverage category by developing, combining, and clearly communicating practical category and industry insights. Working closely with the Senior Manager of Category Insights, this position manages syndicated sales data and key deliverables, while also leading new insight initiatives that support category growth and strengthen Red Bull’s influence with major retail partners across all channels.

As a category specialist and internal thought leader, the Manager of Category Insights turns complex data into clear, persuasive narratives that guide strategy and decision-making. The role works across functions with Shopper Insights, Space Planning, National and Regional Account Teams, and Marketing throughout the sales cycle to create and implement customer-facing strategies that generate growth opportunities for both Red Bull and its retail partners.

Job Description

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CUSTOMER PARTNERSHIP

 

Prepare reports and presentations for both internal teams and external retail partners, integrating relevant data into cohesive deliverables that summarize key insights and provide actionable recommendations.

Lead and contribute to ad hoc insights projects that proactively identify category opportunities and support both national and regional strategies.

Participate regularly in cross-functional meetings with sales and marketing teams, providing expertise and guidance on category and beverage market trends and their impact on the business.

DATA MANAGEMENT

Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making by teaching internal stakeholders about data capabilities, tools, and how to interpret findings, in order to improve the quality of insights across the organization.

Work with the Senior Manager to oversee the on-site Circana partnership, ensuring data is delivered accurately and on time, and that the engagement provides maximum strategic value.

Take ownership of and enhance the category insights reporting suite across all retail data sources, continually improving its content, relevance, and delivery to meet evolving business and customer needs.

Ensure that the design and structure of syndicated databases develop in line with trends in beverages, shopper behavior, and retail, anticipating future analytical needs.

Manage relationships with additional insights partners (including Nielsen, Mintel, Numerator Promo Intel, 1010, and Euromonitor), ensuring that their deliverables are aligned with strategic priorities.

Qualifications

5+ years of work experience in the CPG/FMCG or beverage industry; category management experience is preferred.

Broad knowledge of CPG industry data, insight providers, and their tools and capabilities is preferred.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Proven ability to translate insights into actionable sales strategies and tactics.

Demonstrated peer leadership and influence in developing others; people management experience is an advantage.

Strong customer-service orientation.

Ability to integrate diverse data sources, interpret analytical results, develop recommendations, create compelling, story-driven presentations, and present effectively to a wide range of audiences.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; an advanced degree is a plus.

Language requirement: English.

Additional Information

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

The base salary range for this position is $92,000 - 138,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
