About the Team:
The Business Development team is focused on acquiring customers for Terran R. The work is strategic, not transactional, building long-term partnerships that align a uniquely capable rocket with customer needs now and in the future. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of the launch market by helping customers see how Terran R can unlock their missions. The team supports the company’s growth from a unique vantage point through the lens of the customers we serve.
About the Role:
This position will manage our day-to-day relationships with a number of customers with the ultimate goal of closing new deals for the company.
- Build relationships across the North American commercial satellite market including operators, manufacturers, suppliers and consultants.
- Use your professional relationships and market knowledge to identify and prioritize sales efforts.
- Collect competitive information and complete competitive assessments for each opportunity.
- Support the setting of sales targets.
- Act as a brand ambassador to grow customers knowledge of and excitement about working with Relativity.
- Develop creative approaches for winning new business.
- Travel requirement of ~50%.
About You:
- You must be able to demonstrate past success in a customer-facing role.
- Must be a high energy person who doesn’t take "no" for an answer.
- Understanding of sales tactics and techniques.
- Understanding of the competitive landscape.
- At least 5 years of customer facing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
Nice to Haves, but Not Required:
- Previous experience in rocket sales.
- Master's degree in engineering or MBA.
