Job Description:

Manager, Business Development & Strategy

Dow Jones is seeking a high-performing individual to join the Strategy & Partnership team, a center of excellence, driving growth and operational efficiency across Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal. This role involves working with senior leaders to devise and implement strategic initiatives that align with corporate priorities and improve performance. The ideal candidate is an analytical, collaborative thought leader with a keen understanding of industry trends and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute growth strategies, including partnerships, M&A, and operational improvements.

  • Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to guide strategic decision-making.

  • Build and maintain financial models to support business cases, investments, and new initiatives.

  • Analyze internal and external data to identify trends, performance gaps, and growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate with senior leaders and teams to drive strategic plans and achieve organizational goals.

  • Create clear, executive-ready presentations that communicate insights and recommendations.

  • Provide financial and strategic support to optimize business initiatives and investment opportunities.

  • Use resourcefulness to uncover insights when standard data isn’t available and use initiative to drive forward analysis and key priorities 

You have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in media strategy/corporate development, investment banking or consulting.

  • Deep understanding of digital media business models and industry trends.

  • Superior research, data analysis and financial modeling skills.

  • Experience with key digital metrics and analytics platforms .

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Curious and fast learner with an entrepreneurial drive, intellectual flexibility and resourcefulness.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple high-priority projects.

Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred.

Pay Range: $110,000 - $140,000
