The Role

Proofpoint is looking for a Manager, Business Development team. This person will manage and grow a team of Business Development Representatives responsible for driving and qualifying opportunities that build pipeline for the support the LATAM region.  This individual will be a coach who has a deep understanding of how to overcome common obstacles and has a passion for teaching others how to become top performers.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Lead the BDR team responsible for outbound prospecting and setting qualified opportunities.

  • Support LATAM pipeline development by aligning with regional sales and marketing to drive localized campaigns and outreach strategies.

  • Lead weekly team reviews and 1:1s with BDRs.

  • Measure and continually improve process and performance — challenge the status quo.

  • Communicate with sales leadership to ensure the BDR team meets pipeline expectations across both Commercial and LATAM segments.

  • Build predictable reporting and forecasting for BDR team performance, including LATAM metrics.

  • Partner with marketing to create and implement programs that support pipeline growth in North America and LATAM.

  • Coach the team in using Salesforce, Outreach.io, and DiscoverOrg effectively.

  • Maintain a culture of accountability, hard work, and innovation for themselves and their team.

What You Bring to the Team

  • 3+ years of experience leading a high-performing sales or business development team.

  • 2+ years of experience selling enterprise SaaS.

  • Experience with Salesforce.com and Outreach.io.

  • Experience working with or supporting LATAM markets preferred.

  • Bilingual in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

  • Strong cross-cultural communication and collaboration skills.
