ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Manager, Brand Operations will report to the Director, Brand Operations. The role requires a strong understanding of brand best practices and regulatory requirements for regulated industries, meticulous attention to detail, as well as excellent project management, documentation, and time management skills.

The role will be responsible for ensuring all brand activities, communications, and campaigns adhere to applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, an excellent communicator, and possess the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders of all levels.

  • Compliance Oversight
    • Review and facilitate compliance on all marketing materials, including but not limited to advertisements, website content, email campaigns, brochures, sales collateral, and campaign collateral to ensure alignment with all relevant FDA regulations, internal policies, and brand guidelines.
    • Stay abreast of new and evolving marketing compliance laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and advise leadership on potential impacts and necessary adjustments.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain marketing compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Conduct regular audits of marketing materials and processes to identify potential compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Advisory & Training
    • Provide expert guidance and support to marketing, product, legal, and sales teams on compliance-related matters throughout the marketing lifecycle.
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to marketing and other relevant teams on compliance requirements and best practices.
    • Act as a key liaison between the Marketing Department and the Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance teams.
  • Risk Management
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks associated with marketing activities.
    • Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries and audits related to marketing compliance.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to improve compliance processes and reduce risk.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Lead cross-functional Global Promotional and Informational Review Committee (PIRC) meetings to ensure all external communications, activities, materials, and concepts created by or on behalf of Juul Labs comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements as well as with applicable internal policies/procedures.
    • Work closely with legal counsel to interpret regulations and translate them into actionable marketing guidelines.
    • Effectively communicate complex compliance requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice 

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in marketing compliance, legal compliance, or a related regulatory role, preferably within tech or consumer goods. 
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software and marketing platforms, e.g., Bynder, Veeva, etc.
  • Compliance-Driven Mindset: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with a high level of integrity and professional ethics.
  • Creative: Ability to develop innovative ideas to streamline efficiencies and workstreams.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with creative, product, and technical teams in a fast-paced environment. 

EDUCATION: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.

SALARY RANGES:
Salary varies by role, level and location, and is dependent on the cost of labor in a given
geographic region among other factors. These ranges may be modified at any time.
